JERUSALEM (AA & The Muslim News): One Palestinian was killed Friday by Israeli police in the West Bank, according to authorities.
A 28 year old Palestinian identified as Naseem Abu Mazer, from Kafr Aqab village, was shot and killed Friday night by Israeli troops at the Qalandia checkpoint between Jerusalem and Ramallah, after allegedly pulling a knife and stabbing an Israeli soldier.
Abu Mazer was left bleeding on the ground with no medical attention for an entire hour, from 10 pm to 11 pm, at which point he was pronounced dead.
The Israeli who was wounded was identified by different sources as a soldier from the Israeli military or an Israeli border control officer.The Israeli was allegedly stabbed in the neck and was moderately wounded.
The victim, who was a resident of the Kafr ‘Aqab district of East Jerusalem
The Palestinian Ministry of Health verified the victims was killed by Israeli police.
Authorities have begun an investigation into the killing.
