Gaza City, (AA, Wafa): According to Gaza Ministry of Health, 122 Palestinians were killed and 56 others by indiscriminate bombings by Israeli Defence Forces in Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours. This brings number of Palestinians killed to 33,482, including 14,520 children and 9,560 women and 76,049 wounded by Israeli bombings in Gaza Strip according to Gaza’s Health Ministry. In addition further 12,000 Palestinians are reported missing, presumed dead under the rubble.
At least 14 Palestinian civilians were killed and several others injured, including children and women, in an Israeli airstrike this evening targeting a residential square in Nusseirat refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
The deadly attack comes on the eve of Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.
The Israeli army said on Wednesday that its forces carried out dozens of airstrikes on various parts of the Gaza Strip, which it has been at war with for the past six months.
“Over the past 24 hours, warplanes and drones targeted dozens of objectives in different areas of Gaza Strip,” a statement released by the military said.
The statement claimed that the army’s strikes targeted “military sites, rocket launch platforms, and tunnel openings.”
It also mentioned “face-to-face clashes” with Palestinian fighters in central Gaza.
The Israeli army confirmed Wednesday that it killed three sons of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in an airstrike that targeted a car in the Gaza Strip.
It claimed that the victims were members of the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, and were on their way to carry out “a terrorist activity.”
“An intelligence-guided drone belonging to the air force earlier today targeted, based on military intelligence from the Aman and Shin Bet, 3 military activists affiliated with Hamas while heading to carry out a terrorist activity in central Gaza,” the army wrote on X.
“The three individuals who were targeted are: Amir Haniyeh, a cell leader in the military wing of Hamas, Mohammed Haniyeh, a military activist in the organization, and Hazem Haniyeh, another military activist in the organization,” it said.
Several of his children and grandchildren were riding in the vehicle, it said.
According to Israeli government 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on 7 October in southern Israel and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
