The Israeli military said they shot dead a Palestinian in the West Bank city of Hebron (Al-Khalil) when he approached a checkpoint with a screwdriver and attempted to stab a soldier.
Earlier, another Palestinian was shot dead after allegedly stabbing two guards at the Ariel settlement, south of the city of Nablus.
The attacks came a day after another incident in East Jerusalem where two Israelis and two Palestinian suspected assailants were killed.
Police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said the two Palestinians from Qalandia, north of Jerusalem, were shot dead after a knife attack near Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem’s Old City.
One of the attackers was killed at the scene, while the second died shortly after arriving at Hadassah hospital in western Jerusalem.
Camera footage published subsequently by Israeli media showed Israeli settlers attacking the Palestinian perpetrators with sticks after they had already been shot.
According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, Anan Hammad, 22, and Issa Assaf, 21, were killed in occupied east Jerusalem by Israeli police.
According to figures from the Palestinian Health Ministry, Thursday’s deaths bring the total number of Palestinians shot dead by Israeli forces since Oct. 1 to 134, including 26 minors and six women.
During the same period, 24 Israelis or foreigners have also been killed.
Some observers attribute the recent uptick in violence to a July arson attack in the West Bank by suspected Jewish settlers that killed an 18-month-old Palestinian child and his parents.
