Gaza: 33 Palestinians killed, 57 injured by Israeli bombardment last 24hrs

Gaza City, (AA, Wafa): 33 Palestinians were killed and 57 others were injured by Israeli indiscriminate bombardment in Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, according to Ministry of Heath. This has increased the number of Palestinians killed since 7 October 2023  to at least 34,568 killed 77,765 others injured by Israeli Defence Forces, according to MoH in Gaza.

One Palestinian was killed and five others were injured in an Israeli airstrike in the central Gaza Strip on Wednesday, the Red Crescent Society said.

The organization said its ambulance teams evacuated the victims following the attack, which targeted a house in the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The strike caused massive destruction in the area, according to eyewitnesses.

Meanwhile, two civilians were killed and five others were injured this evening in an Israeli shelling that targeted the southern and central Gaza Strip.

Video footage shared by the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) on social media platforms showed the rescue operations of the injured, mostly women and children, and the evacuation of the dead body from under the rubble of the targeted house. The attack caused massive destruction at the site.

A woman was also killed in an Israeli artillery attack that targeted an area in Al Fukhkhari town to the south.

Israeli warplanes launched an airstrike targeting a house in the so-called “Six Martyrs” neighborhood in the center of the Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Strip.

The Israeli war planes also bombarded areas in Al-Mughraqa town and the headquarters of the electricity distribution company in the Az-Zawayda area in the central Strip.

Several Palestinians at dawn on Wednesday killed in an Israeli airstrike on al-Jalaa Street in the city of Gaza, according to local sources.

They confirmed that Israeli warplanes targeted a house on al-Jalaa Street, killing several Palestinian civilians and injuring others.

They added that the operations rescue operations were still underway to recover the bodies from under the rubble of the house.

Two children were killed and many others were injured late Tuesday night in Israeli airstrikes targeting a house in the Shaboura refugee camp in Rafah in central Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.

WAFA correspondent reported that a little boy and his baby sister were killed and several others were wounded in an Israeli shelling that targeted a house in the Shaboura camp.

In the last few hours, the occupation warplanes launched a series of raids on areas east and north of Rafah.

According to medical sources, three civilians, including a child, were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment of an apartment in the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip. The occupation fighter aircraft also bombed a house in Deir al Balah city, in central Gaza.

Sources said that rescue teams recovered nine bodies from the Khan Yunis camp in the southern Strip, noting that search, rescue and recovery operations are still ongoing in the camp.

Gaza’s government media office on Wednesday dismissed US and Israeli claims about an increase in humanitarian aid flow into the besieged enclave.

Some 4,887 aid trucks entered Gaza, including 1,166 from Rafah crossing with Egypt and 3,721 from Kerem Shalom terminal with Israel, Salama Marouf, head of the media office, said in a statement.

“Only 419 aid trucks were allowed into northern Gaza,” he added.

According to Marouf, around 163 aid trucks enter the besieged enclave daily, a figure that is significantly lower than the 500 aid trucks needed to avert a humanitarian crisis in the strip.

“This figure is significantly lower than the daily needs of our people, especially the residents of northern Gaza,” he added.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken spoke Wednesday of an improvement in the aid flow into the Gaza Strip. Israeli and US estimates put the number of aid trucks entering the enclave daily at 300-400 trucks.

Last month, the Israeli government temporarily approved the entry of very limited aid into Gaza through the Ashdod port and the Erez land crossing and an increase in Jordanian aid through the Kerem Shalom crossing.

According to the Israeli government, 1,139 Israelis were killed by Hamas on October 7 in southern Israel, and 134 Israelis and foreign nationals are still detained by Hamas in Gaza.
