SEP 8: Moeen Ali has announced his retirement from international cricket, declaring at 37: “I’ve done my part.” In an interview with the Daily Mail, the spin-bowling all-rounder shared that his decision was influenced by being left out of England’s upcoming white-ball series against Australia. He said: “I’m 37 years old and didn’t get picked for this month’s Australia series. I’ve played a lot of cricket for England. It’s time for the next generation, which was also explained to me.” Ali continued: “Even retiring, I don’t feel it’s because I’m not good enough – I still feel I can play. But I get how things are, and the team needs to evolve into another cycle. It felt the time was right. I’ve done my part.”

PSG have declined to pay Kylian Mbappé nearly £50 million in outstanding wages, despite a directive to do so, leading to a legal battle. The LFP, the governing body of French professional football, ordered the club to pay €55 million (£46 million), covering unpaid wages and bonuses from Mbappé’s seven-year tenure in Paris.
PSG has announced that they will not comply with this decision. Mbappé is believed to have reached out to UEFA last month regarding the salary dispute. Mbappé, the captain of the French national side, joined Real Madrid earlier in the summer. His departure came after years of reported disputes with PSG.
