Whether the crisp, white sands of Brunei,

The lush, gorgeous greens of Malaysia,

Or the soft, rolling hills of England,

The awe-inspiring, rugged mountains of Scotland.

Whether the hot, dusty sands of Arabia,

Or the grand, towering scale of the Alps,

The deep, blue palm beaches of Miami,

The glimmering lakes of Switzerland.

They have no parallel, no man-made equal;

In the manner they excite, surprise and mesmerize

The human mind…..

Though exposed to the lofty developments of creation.

So whether the crashing waves of the English coast,

The alluring, snow-capped mountains of Marrakech,

The sweet, orange-laden trees of Seville

Or the harsh landscape of the Grand Canyon.

In these, and no further, is the stamp of Allah (swt),

Who created and perfected to the minutest detail.

In these, are His signs, for those who wonder

At the world’s existence, and inextricably, our own.

“It is He who sends down water from the sky.  From it you drink and from it come the shrubs among which you graze your herds. And by it He makes crops grow for you and olives and dates and grapes and fruit of every kind. Therein is certainly a sign in that for people who reflect. He has made the night and the day subservient to you, and the sun, the moon and the stars, all subject to His command. Therein are certainly signs in that for people who use their intellect.” (Qur’an 16:10-15)
