Pupils honour roll

30th Oct 2015

Sir, It is good to see the list of hundreds of Muslim students doing so well at GCSE and A Levels in Muslim and non-Muslim schools. We don’t see this in the so called mainstream media. All they are interested in is negative portrayal of Muslims.
It is also true to say that we hardly hear the Government, led by Prime Minister, David Cameron, saying anything positive about young Muslims. When he and his politicians speak about Muslim students it is only through the lens of extremism and terrorism. They don’t consider our children as achieving anything good.

Maryam Shahid

Sir, Well done to all the students listed in your Honour Roll and, of course, many of those not listed. It is such a good feel factor. Kudos to The Muslim News for highlighting this.
Yours,
Jasmin Ali
