Sir, Knowledge is a companion when alone and a jewel among friends. [Poet’s Corner: Loneliness, The Muslim News, 29 June] And it’s better to be alone than in bad company and better to be with good people than alone and for the most part the best people visit the mosques because the only purpose is to worship Allah.

Sir, Bang on! It would be false of me to claim a ‘me too’ in entirety … but the poem, so perfectly thought-trailed and expressed, is ‘me too’ at times.
I choose to isolate myself often, but I enjoy excursions into company frequently, too. The poem gives me confidence through the knowledge that at least I have common ground with one other person, Fatema. Thank you!

Sir, Very lovely poem. This is the very first time I am commenting here. I do write poetry as well.
