Sir, I read an article in The Muslim News by Mr Hamed Chapman [issue 341 Suu Kyi condemned for refusing to end ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims]. I also read your editorial in the same issue. I saw the photographs of weeping boys, women in the issue. I couldn’t stop tears in my eyes.
I am happy to note that H.H. Dalai Lama has also expressed his sympathies for persecuted Rohingya Muslims, I salute him. Even the team of volunteers from Sikh organization Khalsa Aid reached Bangladesh-Myanmar border and provided relief to the lakhs of Rohingya Muslims.
My heartfelt thanks to the volunteers to Khalsa Aid for their humanitarian work. But surprisingly the Muslim world, baring a few is silent. They have shown tongue-tied silence. Their cowardice should be condemned in the strongest possible terms.
Had the victims were Christians, Jews or Hindus ( i.e. non-Muslims) they would have received strong political support from all over the world. I appeal to all to join with me in prayer for the Rohingya Muslims.
Yours,
