A Sheffield man has been sentenced to six months in jail for racially attacking Muslim schoolgirls in Sheffield on December 4.

Wesley Cooper, 41, from Hackenthorpe, pleaded guilty to three charges of racially aggravated harassment against a 16-year-old girl and a 14-year-old girl and assault by beating against a 14-year-old girl.

Cooper appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court via video-link from prison where he is already serving a two and a half year sentence for another unrelated offence.

John Kavanagh, prosecuting, said before the attack Cooper and his partner argued with staff at a local pub and were asked to leave before Cooper told the staff, “You’ve got a f**king P**ki working here, you’ve employed a P**ki.”

Kavanagh said that Cooper and his partner then took a bus home at around 4 pm. A passenger’s dog licked the leg of one of Cooper’s victims which set off a commotion when she screamed.

Cooper then said to her, “Look at you, you f**king p***y, look at you, you f**king sl*g.” When his victim got upset he told her, “Shut up you f**king fat ni***r.” Witnesses said they heard Cooper use the racist abuse and confirmed that he had started the incident.
