The Metropolitan Police are investigating after a pig’s head was allegedly found yards from some Islamophobic graffiti on a pavement in west London on December 17, 2015.

‘Muslims are terrorists’ was found etched onto the pavement in Bath Road, Hounslow.

Another message, which originally read ‘Muslims hate us’, was reportedly changed to read ‘Muslims hate racists’. Ed Driscoll, a friend of a nearby resident, said he was “horrified” by the graffiti.

He said: “It’s obviously disturbing to think there are people who are looking to pick on innocent victims like this.”

A Metropolitan Police Service spokesman said: “Enquiries are ongoing and no arrests have been made.” The Met spokesman added officers had been made aware of a pig’s head being found nearby and enquiries were being made to establish the circumstances surrounding the find.
