11 year old girl attacked and branded ISIS by schoolmates

11 year-old Muslim girl was assaulted at her New York primary school by three boys who referred to her as “ISIS” while ripping her hijab off.

The unnamed girl was playing during break time when three boys allegedly went after her on November 18 at P.S. 89 School in the Bronx.

The boys, who are in the same grade as the girl, allegedly put her in a headlock and punched her as they tried to take off her hijab, the source said. While beating up the girl, the boys also allegedly called her “ISIS”.

Officers responded to a 911 call about the assault, which was reported as a bias incident in which three students attacked one other student, but a police report was never taken.

The boys were expected to appear at a disciplinary hearing for their alleged actions shortly after the incident, but it was postponed in order to allow the boys families to hire legal representation, the school source said.

“Unfortunately, young Muslims have been experiencing this for quite some time,” said Corey Saylor, spokesperson for the Council on American-Islamic Relations,

“Since August of last year…we’ve seen a cycle of Islamophobia that’s had a much more violent tinge to it than we’ve seen in many, many years,” said Saylor.

“I would’ve argued that it was calming down, until Paris followed by San Bernardino,” Saylor said.

Store owner assaulted by man on mission to “kill Muslims.”

A Muslim store owner in Queens, New York, was left battered and bruised after he was assaulted by a man who said that he wanted to “kill Muslims.”

Fatima Food Mart owner Sarker Haque, 53, said that the man came into his shop on December 5 and began punching him.

“He punched fell down here…I say, “What the hell you doing? What’s wrong with you? ” [The attacker] said, “I kill Muslims”.”

“He punched me as much as he can with his left hand,” the store owner added, choking back tears.

The attacker was identified by police as Piro Kolvani. Investigators believe that Kolvani punched Haque multiple times before a Latino customer intervened.

“A person came by, he knows me,” Haque said. “I’m bleeding [at] this time so he [took] hold of the attacker. It doesn’t matter what color or nationality you are,” he pointed out. “We are in America. Everybody came from somewhere.”

Officials said that the attack on Haque was being investigated as a hate crime.

Woman attacks Muslims praying in California park

A woman hurled Islamophobic slurs and then hot coffee at a group of Muslims after she saw them praying in a California park. Rasheed Albeshari said he and some friends had just finished their prayers on December 6 at Lake Chabot in Alameda County when the woman confronted them. Albeshari recorded the woman’s rant on his mobile, beginning when she accused the men of being terrorists.

“The people you tortured, they’re going to spend eternity in heaven,” says the woman, who was carrying a cup of coffee. “You are very deceived by Satan. Your mind has been taken over – brainwashed – and you have nothing but hate, nothing but hate.”

A park ranger approaches at that point and asks the woman if her berate of other park visitors is appropriate.

“It is inappropriate, you’re right, for somebody to tape record me,” the woman says.

Albeshari says the woman approaches him, hits the man with her umbrella and then tosses coffee in his face.

His friends called police, and they are investigating the case as a possible hate crime.

“She was saying ’Allah is Satan and you are all murderers,” Albeshari said later.

He said a friend tried to explain that they also believed in and revered Jesus – but he said that only made the woman more irate. Albeshari said he moved four years to California from North Carolina, in part, because he thought he would face less discrimination.

“I never thought this would ever happen to me here,” Albeshari said. “It’s a very uncomfortable feeling.”

Man charged over shooting of Muslim cab driver

Police in Pittsburgh arrested and charged a 26-year-old man with shooting a Muslim cab driver in the back in the early hours of November 26.

Anthony Mohamed, 26, from Hazelwood, a neighborhood in Pittsburgh, in the state of Pennsylvania, was arrested on December 2, is charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt homicide and recklessly endangering another person, police said.

The victim was identified as a 38-year-old Moroccan immigrant who wishes to remain anonymous for fear of safety.

The driver said that the passenger asked whether he was from Pakistan and then talked about the extremist Islamic State group killing people.

“I noticed that he changed his tone and he began to satirize Mohammad, my prophet,” said the driver.

He allegedly asked the driver to wait so he could get money to pay the fare, but returned a few minutes later with a rifle.As the victim drove off, he was shot in the back by a bullet that blew out the taxis rear window, police said.

He was taken to hospital and is in a stable condition.

US columnist calls for Mecca to be “blown off”

A conservative columnist has suggested the West: “Bomb Mecca off the face of the earth.”

Writing for conservative news site WorldNetDaily, Burt Prelutsky suggested that destroying Daesh [ISIS] is not enough and Prophet Muhammad needs to be destroyed as a lesson to the 1.6 billion Muslims in the world.

“Suggesting that there is nothing wrong with a religion whose Quran is a handbook for terrorism is reminiscent of those fools who keep insisting that communism is perfect, and that the only problem with it is that it’s never been done right, whether in China, the Soviet Union, Cuba, Venezuela, Mongolia or North Korea. Believe in Marxs utopia, the idiots insist, not your own eyes,” he wrote.

The former TV comedy writer turned conservative gadfly continued, “My own politically incorrect suggestion is that we remove ISIS from the face of the earth, hopefully as a joint effort with every other nation it has threatened or attacked, and that we then bomb Mecca off the face of the earth, not concerning ourselves in the least with collateral damage, letting the Muslims know once and for all that our God is far more powerful and, yes, vengeful than their own puny deity.”

Prelutsky said that killing t 1.2 million people who live in Mecca might be harsh, but “they’ve been asking for it for over 1,400 years.”

“I, for one, am sick and tired of seeing the Islamic bullies demand our lunch money and, like a bunch of scrawny wimps afraid of our own shadow, we hand it over,” he wrote. “What’s even more appalling, we then pretend we did it because we’re good guys who realized that theyre human beings just like us, and who just happen to be a little bit hungrier than we are.”

“The idea that we can civilize these savages is beyond ludicrous.”

Muslim man’s garage vandalized in Chicago

The garage of a Chicago Muslim man was vandalised on December 11 with the words “Go home” and he believes he was the target of hate.

Salman Biradar, who lives on the North Side, said he is concerned for his safety, enough to call police.

“Who ever did this knows we live here, in this house, this could be dangerous in the future,” Biradar said.

Biradar said he’s never been threatened before.

California mosque fire-bombed

Officials at a mosque in Coachella, California said on December 11 that their building was targeted for arson.

Witnesses reported seeing smoke coming out of the Islamic Society of Palm Springs around 12 pm.

Officials said the building was “fire-bombed,” leading to the blaze breaking out in the lobby. The fire reportedly caused smoke damage throughout the building.

Several people were inside the mosque at the time, but no injuries were reported.

“We feel bad,” said Mohammed Aowishah, who attends services in the mosque. “We didn’t do anything. We are innocent people.”

The fire was reported just a day after the Council on American-Islamic Relation’s Washington DC offices were evacuated following the delivery of a “foreign substance.”

A pair of Muslim women in Florida also recently reported being shot at and run off the road, and a Philadelphia man was caught on video throwing a pig’s head at a local mosque.
