Mosques and Islamic institution across Rochdale came together to take part in the Young Muslim Organisation under-15s foot ball tournament.

At a time when Islamophobia is on the rise, one of the mosque teachers gave speech at the start of the tournament and highlighted the importance of good character amongst Muslims.

During the event, prayer was offered by all the young participants and teachers in an act of unity and showing the
compatibility of enjoying one self and fulfilling religious obligations.

The tournament was won by Wardleworth Maktab who beat Idaara FC 4-1.
