7th Jun 2015

BAQUBA, (Xinhua): At least 14 people were killed and 18 others wounded late on Saturday in a suicide car bomb attack at a market in town of Balad Ruz of Diyala province, east of Iraq.

Amer al-Kilani, a member of the Diyala provincial council, told Xinhua that a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded near a popular market at the western entrance to the town of Balad Ruz, east of Baquba, capital of Diyala province, killing 14 people and wounding 18 others.

He said the explosion occurred about 100 meters from the security checkpoint, adding that extensive damage was caused to several cars and shops near the blast site.

In Diyala province, which is a mixture of Sunnis and Shiites, residents were exposed to the occasional bloody attacks carried out by extremist groups.

Iraq has been witnessing some of the worst violence in years. Terrorism and violence have killed at least 12,282 civilians and wounded 23,126 others in 2014, making it the deadliest year since the sectarian violence in the 2006-2007 period, according to a recent UN report.

It is wonderful indeed, this is a promise from God, whoever turn their face away from the guidance, God will replace them with another, children of Israel is the perfect example. When Moses (as ) asked children of Israel to go with him, they refused, God then said they will not have a homeland for 40 years. How many years since Prophet Moses(as ) left this world? 4000 years. Yesss? 4000 YEARS. Still the children of Israel couldn’t claim a land of their own, which accepted by international community. Now that is wonderful.
