TABLE KEY:
(W)omen’s | (M)en’s.
Classification:
ARCHERY: W1 & Open. W1 for wheelchair users with impairment in all limbs.Open W2 & ST- impairment in the legs & use of wheelchair or have a balance impairment & shoot standing or resting on a stool.
ATHLETICS: T/F11 to 13-vision impaired. T/F20-intellectual impairment. T/F30-coordination impairment. T/F31 to 34- wheelchair.
T/F35 to 38 for standing position. T/F40 & 41 are for short stature.
T/F42 to 44 are for leg deficiency/ length-difference, impaired muscle power/passive range of movement in the legs, with athletes competing in a standing position.
T/F45 to 47-arm deficiency, impaired muscle power/passive range of movement in arms, with athletes competing in a standing position. T/F51 to 57-impaired muscle power, restricted range of movement, limb deficiency or leg length difference, with athletes competing in seated position. T/F61 to 64-prosthetics users.
BADMINTON: SL3 Legs impairment. SU5 upper limb impairment.
CYCLING: H class-competing with a handcycle with impairments such as amputation or paralysis of the legs or motor function impairments. Subdivided into classes H1, H2, H3, H4 & H5.
FOOTBALL 5-A-SIDE: For blind athletes in the B1 class. all must wear blackout masks to ensure fairness.
GOALBALL: Players are partially sighted/blind (B1-B3 classes), all wear blackout masks to compete together.
JUDO: For vision-impaired athletes. B1 (total blindness) to B3 (low vision). B1, B2 & B3 athletes compete together.
POWERLIFTING: Open to athletes with leg/hip impairment.
SHOOTING: SH1 Pistol, SH1 Rifle (able to hold a gun with arms) & SH2 Rifle (unable to hold a gun, so a stand is used).
SWIMMING: The sport uses prefix S or SB & a number. S stands for freestyle, butterfly & backstroke events.
SB stands for breaststroke. SM stands for individual medley. It is not a sports class, but an entry index & calculated as (3xS + SB)/4; for classes S1-4 who have a 3-discipline medley, the formula is (2S + SB)/3).
S1/SB1 -S10/SB10- physical impairment & S11/SB11-S13/SB13 is for vision impairment.
The greater the number the more functional ability the athlete has. S14/SB14-intellectual impairment.
TABLE TENNIS: Classes 1-5-wheelchair athletes. 6-10- standing, 11-intellectual impairments. Within the wheelchair & standing classes, the lower the number the greater the impairment on the ability to compete.
TAEKWONDO: K44- restrictions on one side of a limb. K43-restrictions on both sides of the arms below the elbow joint. Both classes will compete in the K44 class.
