The All-Party Parliamentary Group on British Muslims organised ‘The Big Iftar’ earlier this month, with the fast-breaking taking place in the State Rooms of the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle.
The event on April 19 welcomed the rich diversity of British Muslim communities from across the country, as well as guests from other religious communities.
Members of both Houses and leading figures in the charitable and voluntary sectors and celebrated British Muslims from the fields of business, sport, media, the arts, academia and many other sectors were in attendance.
A truly special evening at the heart of our democracy – with people and politicians of all faiths, parties and backgrounds coming together to break our Ramadan fast in Parliament.
