Scrolling news:

Concern for oppressed Muslims is extremism

28th Feb 2020

Sir, When Muslims say that the Government’s draconian Prevent Extremism policy which targets mainly Muslims, is preventing freedom of speech of the community, they are considered as extremist. However, the guidelines of the counter-terrorism police advise the security services to consider those Muslims who show concern about ‘oppressed Muslims’ as extremists! (‘Outrage at police guidelines…’ The Muslim News. 31 January 2020).
If you are a non-Muslim, then you are allowed to be concerned about non-Muslims who are oppressed. What this means is that we should only be concerned about non-Muslim welfare and not Muslims because our Government supports those countries that oppress Muslims. And we don’t want that to be highlighted do we, Mr Boris Johnson?
Yours,
Ayesha Mohammed
