Sir, Muslims are encouraged to participate in politics, and when they do, our Hindu Prime Minister condemns us. When Muslims voted in the Rochdale by-election and did not vote for Labour or the Conservatives, but instead for George Galloway of the Workers Party, Rishi Sunak called Muslims “extremists,” “undermining our values,” and “dividing our society here at home.” He does not say anything about the Hindutva mobs in Leicester attacking Muslims. The demonisation of Muslims by the PM and many Tory MPs has become a norm under Sunak.
Yours,
