Children at Bradford Royal Infirmary received a raft of gifts and toys earlier this month to mark Eid al-Adha.
Manningham fundraiser Nazim Ali made his usual Eid trip to the children’s ward at BRI to drop over 50 gifts donated by Saveco Cash and Carry as part of the ‘Creating Smiles Gift Giving Initiative.’ The diverse range of gifts included cuddly toys, Children’s DVDs, playsets, babies toys and so forth with a mixture for boys and girls.
This was the seventh year in a row he has visited the hospital to bring ill children some joy and happiness at Eid.
Ali told The Muslim News, “I am profoundly humbled once more to have arranged the Creating Smiles Gift Giving Initiative.”
Elaine Drake, a fundraiser at Bradford Hospitals Charity, said: “The gifts will make a huge difference and it was wonderful to see the poorly children smiling and brings that normality for them. We are looking forward to their continued support.”
Shiraz Ahmed, Managing Director, Saveco Cash & Carry, said, “We are truly humbled to once more support the fabulous Toy Gifts Initiative started by Nazim who does so much to help others. We are pleased to support Bradford Royal Infirmary Hospital.”
