The Muslim News has been inundated with positive response from guests at this year’s The Muslim News Awards for Excellence event held in April, we include some of the many words of support and gratitude kindly forwarded to us

I have had the pleasure of being invited to attend the auspicious occasion and every year it surpasses in its excellence, presentation, location, reception of guests, selection of prospective contenders and winners of the Awards for Excellence in various categories and prominence of activities. In fact, in this unique way The Muslim News and you Ahmed as a pioneer of recognising Muslim talents, young and old, men and women, has placed a competitive edge to transcend and prove that we as scientists, entrepreneurs, charity workers, educationists, sports participants and in general are doing good.
Masood Khawaja, Director, Halal Consultations

Congratulations on another excellent year of The Muslim News Awards for Excellence. There was an opportunity to meet with a wide variety of people from the British Muslim community and the wider UK community. The timing was excellent as dinner finished at a reasonable time allowing for time to network and travel home.
Mohamed R Dewji, Senior Director, MRD Pharma Consultancy Ltd

I enjoyed the organisation of the awards – the way in which awards were done first and in a timely fashion. Often awards ceremonies overrun badly but this was excellent. I enjoyed the fact the winners’ details were read as they approached the stage which was very slick. I liked the host, the senior level of the awards presenters, and the excellent support from senior people including the Mayor of London and Lord Lieutenant and Deputies from London. The venue was spacious and airy and the event was extremely well run.
Noel Cramer, Director of Supporter Engagement, Acorns Children’s Hospice, Birmingham

It was an excellent evening. I enjoyed meeting many interesting people and learning about the wonderful Muslim initiatives taking place across the UK and the wider world.
Pamela Christine Evans, Founder & CEO, Peace Mala

I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed The Muslim News event. It was so gratifying to see the amazing work that Muslims are doing in the UK and also your stewardship is first class. It was a very well organised and professional award ceremony and a nice location and atmosphere.
Professor Shafi Ahmed PhD, FRCS, FRCS(Gen. Surg), Consultant General, Laparoscopic and Colorectal Surgeon, Associate Dean, Barts and the London Medical School

Thank you very much indeed for inviting us to perform at the awards. It was a great experience to hear the award winners speak – indeed an inspiring group of people – and we appreciate very much your help in bringing the present situation of the Uyghurs to a wider audience.
Dr Rachel Harris, Reader in Music, SOAS, University of London

I did very much enjoy the awards. Thank you for your most kind and generous hospitality, and for the privilege of being accepted into the Muslim community. The scale of the winners’ contribution seems to become more impressive year by year.
Rev Canon Dr Roland Riem, Vice Dean, Canon Chancellor, Winchester Cathedral

Congratulations on another successful awards ceremony. It was brilliant! Saadia Mahmood, Grants Manager, Aziz Foundation

Thank you for organising this splendid evening. It needed a lot of preparation and cost. Among the enjoyable parts of the evening: the Muslim unity, the universality of the message, the inspirational attitude towards the community and the generally positive atmosphere. The presenter, Fatima Manji, has added value to the event and elevated its standard.
Dr Saeed Shehabi, Trustee, Abrar Foundation

It was a delightful evening really showcasing the contribution of Muslims in the UK, also the fact that it covered the entire Muslim spectrum not just concentrating on a particular group. As usual, it was on time and professionally done, I also liked the fact that the speeches did not go on for too long and the keynote speakers were current and relevant. I really enjoyed the entertainment put on by Rahema and her group, it was unique and interesting. I was delighted to see so many people I haven’t encountered for some time. May Allah continue to bless you and your work and a big thank you to all your team.
Mrs Saleha Islam, Director, Legend Consultancy

I enjoyed seeing achievements being rewarded and positive/inspiring vibe. Nice to see people I hadn’t met in a long time and meet some new interesting people.
Sarah Sheriff, Tutor, Adult Learning Lewisham, Muslim Community Helpline

The venue was ideal and the TV screens were well placed so people at the back could have a close-up look as well. Great ambience and short speeches. The volunteers are always excellent. The timing was good. The caterers were good.
Shahid Kazi, Administration Manager, Muslim Council of Britain

As ever the event was well organised and attended and everyone only had the best things to say about the evening and the organisation so well done to you and your team. Thank you for allowing to be part of the whole experience, both on the judges’ panel and also at the event itself. The evening was most insightful.
