Palestine: 6 Palestinians killed in Israeli drone attack in Tulkarem, West Bank

(Agencies):  On Wednesday dawn, Israeli soldiers assassinated six young Palestinian men in Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem in north-west occupied West Bank, after firing a missile from a drone at them, also wounding at least four, including three who suffered serious wounds.On Tuesday, Israeli forces killed two Palestinians and injuired two others in Al-Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said in a statement that “Six (Palestinian) martyrs arrived in Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in Tulkarem city.”

Many ambulances rushed to the refugee camp but were stopped by the soldiers and were prevented from entering it for more than one hour before they started treating the wounded and moved them along with the slain Palestinians to the hospital, reportd imemc.org.

One of the wounded Palestinians, 24 years of age, suffered a profoundly serious injury to the head.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) said the soldiers stopped one of its ambulances, transporting three seriously wounded Palestinians, and held it for about 65 minutes.

The slain Palestinians have been officially identified as Ahmad Nour Hamarsha, 19, Ahmad Abdul-Rahman Issa, 19, Adham Mohammad Fahmawi, 23, Yazan Ahmad Wahid Fahmawi, 23, Fares Husam Fahmawi, 29, and Hamza Ahmad Mustafa Fahmawi, 17.

The head of the Doctors Syndicate in Tulkarem, Radwan Bleibleh, said that a soldier stabbed one of the injured Palestinians inside an ambulance and added that the soldiers assaulted several injured Palestinians by beating them with the rifles in addition to kicking and punching them while threatening to kill them.

The Israeli army also fired a missile at an abandoned house in the Employees Housing Project area in Ektaba Suburb and fired barrages of live rounds at a car parked in front of the bombed home.

Palestinian political factions, local institutions, and social and religious figures declared a comprehensive strike Wednesday to mourn the slain Palestinians, and to condemn the escalating Israeli crimes and violations against the Palestinian people.

Many Israeli military vehicles, including bulldozers, invaded Tulkarem from its western area and drove through various neighborhoods, while more vehicles headed to the refugee camp and surrounded the Al-Manshiyya area.

The soldiers also stormed and ransacked many homes, especially in Al-Manshiyya, Al-Mahjar, Al-Joura, Ad-Damj, and Jabal An-Nasr areas, and interrogated dozens of Palestinians while inspecting their ID cards.

In addition, the army occupied rooftops of tall buildings, especially overlooking the refugee camp, and used them as monitoring towers and sniper posts while military bulldozers destroyed streets and infrastructure, in addition to public and private property.

On Tuesday night, dozens of soldiers invaded Tulkarem city and Nur Shams refugee camp, east of Tulkarem, and conducted massive searches.

In the prolonged incursion, Israeli soldiers invaded the city of Tulkarem, the Nur Shams refugee camp, and several towns near the city, bombed two buildings, injured two young men, and abducted one.

WAFA correspondent reported that the occupation forces, with their military vehicles and bulldozers, stormed the city from its western axis, passing through Khadoori Street and Jamal Abdel Nasser Square in the center of the city, and the old garage complex street, and roamed its various streets and neighborhoods, while another force headed from the direction of the Courts Roundabout towards Nour Shams camp, east of the city, and was deployed in the Al-Manshiya neighborhood and imposed a tight siege on it.

The occupation forces stormed a number of citizens’ homes in various neighborhoods of the camp, specifically the Al-Manshiya, Al-Mahjar, Al-Joura, Al-Damj, and Jabal Al-Nasr areas, and conducted a wide search inside them and destroyed their contents after subjecting their owners to interrogation.

The army also caused power blackouts, in addition to disrupting cellphone and telecommunications coverages.

On Tuesday morning, Israeli soldiers killed two Palestinians, including a teenage boy, and injured two others, in the Al-Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank’s southern part.

Medical sources said the soldiers killed Ahmad Mohammad Yousef Yaghi, 17, and Ibrahim Majed Abdul-Majid At-Teety, 31, after shooting them with live fire.

The two Palestinians were killed during protests that occurred after several army vehicles invaded the refugee camp, while soldiers stormed and ransacked homes, and occupied rooftops to use as monitoring towers and firing posts.

The soldiers fired a barrage of live rounds in addition to rubber-coated steel bullets, gas bombs, and concussion grenades.

Medical sources have confirmed that, besides the two slain Palestinians, the soldiers shot and moderately injured two young men.

In related news, the soldiers stormed and ransacked dozens of homes in Hebron city and abducted at east seventeen Palestinians.

According to the Palestinian Health Ministry, 311 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces in the West Bank since Oct. 7, with over 3,300 others injured.

Meanwhile in Gaza, Ministry of Heatlh reports 20,915 Palestinians have been killed including 8,600 children, 6,300 women and injuring 54,918 by indiscriminate bombing by Israel Defence Force.

Around 1,139 Israelis were killed by the Hamas attack on October 7 in south Israel, according to Israeli authorities and 129 are still being held captives by Hamas in Gaza.
