Gaza: Israeli forces have killed 113 Palestinians, injured 205 in last 24 hours

London (The Muslim News): According to Gaza Health Ministry, in the last 24 hours Israeli indiscriminate bombings have killed 113 Palestinians, wounding 205 in Gaza bringing total Palestinians killed since 7 Oct to 27,478 & 66,835 injured

According to Gaza Health Ministry, at least 8,000 people are unaccounted for, with many of them still trapped under rubble or scattered in the streets. Last figures received for children killed, is 11,500  and women killed is 8,000.

Dozens of civilians were killed and injured this evening in the Israeli occupation’s bombardment of the central and southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army also shelled a residential square in the Jura area and a house near the Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing and injury of scores of people, mostly children and women, reports Wafa news agency.

Israeli tanks also shelled vicinity of the al-Tayaran area to the west of Gaza City. Warplanes also launched a strike targeting the Qatari-funded residential city of Hamad to the northwest of Khan Yunis.

According to medical sources, four civilians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli strike that targeted a house in the Al-Salam neighborhood, east of Rafah City.

The Israeli army carried out air attacks on the homes of civilians in Deir al-Balah and bombed a mosque in the same area, said the media office of the government in Gaza.

The warplanes also carried out air raids against agricultural land in the same neighborhood.

Two civilians were also killed and others were injured in an Israeli shelling of the Tel al-Zaatar area in the northern Gaza Strip.

The warplanes also targeted the eastern areas of the Nuseirat refugee camp in the central Strip.

Accordiing to Al Jazeea, there has been a notable increase of military strikes in the southern city Rafah, especially in the eastern parts, which might be the starting point for a military ground invasion.

Israeli forces have already been attacking houses, agricultural lands and key infrastructure in Rafah.

As a result, Palestinians here are completely terrified of that move. They are asking, if that happens, what next?

People are afraid they won’t be able to return to northern Gaza, Khan Younis or any other place where Israel has operated before, simply because they will find nothing but rubble and destruction.

Rafah has become flooded with the evacuees – in the streets, parks and residential houses and buildings.

Meanwhile, photos captured by Anadolu Agency have dispelled Israeli claims about Hamas’ use of tunnels under a Qatari-funded hospital in the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army has released photos and videos it said showed Hamas operatives emerging from a tunnel opening at the Sheikh Hamad Hospital.

Anadolu photos, however, showed that the opening was not of a tunnel but belonged to a water well on the hospital’s grounds.

The photos displayed the well opening with an iron cover and a one-and-a-half-long ladder at its bottom descending to a water collection point.

The photos also revealed the massive destruction caused by Israeli army forces before their withdrawal from Gaza’s northwestern areas.

In November, Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari said that a tunnel used by Hamas was discovered in the Sheikh Hamad Hospital.

According Israeli authorities, 1,139 Israelis were killed in southern Israel by Hamaz on 7 October. 136 Israelis and foreign nationals are being held captive by Hamas in Gaza.
