WEST BANK
Six Palestinians were killed and several others injured this evening following an airstrike carried out by Israeli occupation forces on a house in the Jenin refugee camp, north of the occupied West Bank.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed in a brief statement that six fatalities and multiple injuries were brought to hospitals in the city as a result of the attack.
The victims have been identified as Mahmoud Ashraf Mustafa Gharbiyeh, 15; Mo’men Ibrahim Abu al-Hayja, 28; Amir Ibrahim Mahmoud Abu al-Hayja, 27; Hussam Hassan Qanouh, 34; Ibrahim Mustafa Qaneiry, 23; and Bahaa Ibrahim Abu al-Hayja, 33.
Eyewitnesses reported that an Israeli drone fired three missiles at a group of people near Al-Awda roundabout in the camp. The strike resulted in the fatalities and injuries reported.
Others were also injured in the attack, and were said to be in a stable condition.
Elsewhere in the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces have led incursions into the village of Marah Ma’ala, south of Bethlehem, and Anabta, east of Tulkarem.
Wafa news agency reports that Israeli army arrested a young man in Anabta after stopping his vehicle and interrogating him.
The Israeli army detained at least 35 more Palestinians in fresh military raids in the occupied West Bank, according to prisoners’ affairs groups on Tuesday.
Former prisoners were among the detainees in the raids that targeted Hebron, Nablus, Tulkarem, Jenin, and Salfit, the Commission of Detainees’ Affairs and the Palestinian Prisoner Society said in a joint statement.
Scores of Palestinians were interrogated by Israeli soldiers in the field before being released, the two groups said.
“The arrest campaigns came amid a massive aggression launched by the (Israeli) occupation against our people in retaliation that falls under the crime of collective punishment,” the statement said.
The new arrests brought the number of Palestinians detained by the Israeli army in the West Bank since October 2023 to over 14,300, including those who were released after being arrested, according to Palestinian figures.
The figure does not include those arrested from the Gaza Strip whose numbers are estimated to be in the thousands.

YEMEN
The Yemeni Houthi [Ansar Allah] group said late Tuesday that it had carried out new attacks on targets in central and southern Israel, including Tel Aviv and Eilat.
In a recorded statement, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed that the group’s drone forces launched a “special military operation” targeting unspecified Israeli sites in “the occupied Jaffa area (Tel Aviv).”
He added that “a second operation used a cruise missile to strike a power station in the Umm Rashrash (Eilat) area.”
According to Saree, both operations “successfully hit their targets.”
Earlier Tuesday, the Houthis also claimed responsibility for striking Israel’s Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv with a hypersonic ballistic missile, adding that Israeli interception systems failed to neutralize it.
However, the Israeli military claimed in a statement that the missile was intercepted before it entered Israeli airspace. The Magen David Adom emergency service reported that 11 people were injured while rushing to shelters during the interception, and four more suffered panic attacks.
Since the beginning of 2024, a coalition led by the US has been carrying out airstrikes that it said target Houthi locations in Yemen in response to the group’s Red Sea attacks. They have been occasionally met with retaliation from the Houthis.
With the intervention of Washington and London and escalating tensions, the Houthis announced that they consider all American and British ships military targets.
