Gaza: 89 Palestinians killed, 329 injured by Israeli attacks last 24 hours

(The Muslim News): 89 Palestinians have been killed and 329 injured by Israeli Defence Forces indiscriminate bombings throughout the Gaza Strip, the Health Ministry says, as Israeli forces launch a new ground invasion in southern city of Khan Younis. this gas led to the number of Palestinians killed to 39,090 and 90,147 injured by Israeli bombing in the enclave.

The widespread Israeli attacks on eastern Khan Yunis coincided with the forced displacement of tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians, amid catastrophic humanitarian and medical conditions as a result of the intense and violent occupation raids.

As the attacks against the Gaza Strip entered its 291st day, the Israeli army continued to commit atrocities in various parts of the Strip at dawn on Tuesday, which mainly took place next to Khan Yunis, in Gaza City, Jabalia Camp, and Deir al-Balah, which resulted in killing and injuring of dozens of civilians.

In the Jabalia camp in the northern Gaza Strip, medical sources confirmed to WAFA correspondents that four were killed and others were injured in Israeli raids that targeted homes in the camp.

Israeli air force also targeted a house belonging to Al-Jamasi family on Al-Nafaq Street in Al-Sahaba area, killing four citizens and wounding others.

Health sources reported that eight people were killed in an Israeli targeting of a house owned by Al-Daya family on Al-Mughrabi Street in Al-Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Sources in the Gaza Civil Defense said that an Israeli bombing targeted a home belonging to Bakr family in Al-Hadba area in Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in killing and injuring of a number of people.

Six civilians were killed and 10 others were wounded today in the Israeli bombardment of the Bureij refugee camp in the center of the Gaza Strip.

More civilians have been fleeing from Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip following an Israeli evacuation order, a UN spokesman said Tuesday.

“Yesterday, about 150,000 people fled areas in Khan Younis, as assessed by humanitarian colleagues monitoring population movements in the area,” Stephane Dujarric told reporters.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) expressed concerns about the short interval between the dropping of leaflets announcing the evacuation order and the escalation of military operations, which posed “significant risks” to those fleeing, he added.

“OCHA reminds us that each evacuation order profoundly disrupts people’s lives. People have been forced to move into areas with little to no infrastructure, where there is very limited access to shelter, health, sanitation or other life-saving humanitarian assistance,” said Dujarric.

Meanwhile, at least seven Palestinians were killed in an Israeli military raid in the occupied West Bank on Tuesday, according to local media.

Five people, including a woman, were among the fatalities in a drone strike on Al-Hamam neighborhood in the Tulkarm refugee camp in the northern West Bank, the official news agency Wafa reported.

The death toll in Israel from Hamas-led attacks on October 7 is estimated at 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
