London, (The Muslim News): 50 more Palestinians were killed and 124 others were injured in Israeli Defence Forces’ indiscriminate bombings in the last 24 hours in Vhe Gaza Strip, pushing up the overall death toll of Palestinians killed since last Oct. 7 to 40,223, and 92,981 others injured, the Health Ministry in the war-torn enclave said on Wednesday.
In addition, Israel has assassinated Khalil al-Muqdah, a commander in the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, in a drone strike on a car in Lebanon’s Sidon, only 40km (25 miles) south of Beirut.
The Israeli military said jets hit about 30 targets throughout the Gaza Strip, including tunnels, launch sites and an observation post.
At least 25 civilians were killed this evening in a series of Israeli airstrikes on homes, schools and tents sheltering displaced people in the central and southern Gaza Strip.
Medical and local sources said that the Israeli warplanes renewed shelling on Salah Eddin School in Gaza City, resulting in the killing of several civilians.
Warplanes also launched a series of air raids on the eastern areas of Khan Yunis, which led to the killing of at least 21 civilians; A civilian was killed in the bombing of a house east of Khan Yunis, and several people, including two children and five women, were killed in the shelling of displaced persons’ tents east of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip. Thirteen bodies were also brought to the Nasser hospital.
Israeli fighter jets also launched a series of raids targeting the town of Abasan al-Kabira east of Khan Yunis.
In the Nuseirat refugee camp in the middle of the Strip, four civilians were killed in the Israeli bombardment of a house belonging to the Abu Rahma family in the market area of the camp, reports Wafa News Agency.
Medical sources reported that the bodies of four people were recovered due to the continuous occupation bombing northwest of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip.
Dozens were also injured due to theIsraeli occupation forces firing at the tents of the displaced in the Al-Mawasi area west of Rafah city.
The occupation warplanes launched an airstrike targeting land in the Al-Satar Al-Gharbi area in Khan Yunis city, and the artillery and missile shelling continues towards the homes of citizens in the town of Al-Qarara north of Khan Yunis city.
Meanwhile, one civilian was killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on a house belonging to the Al-Khatib family in the Tal Al-Zaatar area in Jabalia camp north of the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli artillery fired shells at the neighborhoods of Al-Zeitoun, Al-Sabra, and Tal Al-Hawa in Gaza City, coinciding with the Israeli military vehicles firing live ammunition at the neighborhoods.
At least 13 people, including women and children, were killed in Israeli airstrikes in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis on Wednesday, a medical source said.
“Two children and five women were among the victims in strikes targeting refugee tents in al-Zana area in Bani Suheila east of Khan Younis,” a Palestinian medic told Anadolu Agency.
Six other people were killed in Israeli attacks targeting houses and farmlands in eastern Khan Younis, he added.
Separately, the Civil Defense Agency said “massacres” were being committed by the Israeli army in al-Qarara west of Khan Younis.
“Massacres are taking place against displaced civilians in al-Qarara area in Khan Younis,” spokesman Mahmoud Basal said, without elaborating.
A civil defense source said that its teams were unable to reach the area due to intensive Israeli shelling.
According to an Anadolu reporter, Israeli military vehicles pushed deep west of al-Qarara near refugee tents, triggering panic among displaced civilians.
“A number of displaced civilians were injured after Israeli forces opened fire at their tents,” a medical source said.

At least two people were killed and 15 others injured, including 10 children, in a new Israeli strike on a school sheltering displaced civilians in Gaza City on Wednesday, the Civil Defense Agency said.
The attack targeted the Salah al-Din School, where hundreds of civilians have taken shelter in western Gaza City, witnesses said.
A medical source at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital confirmed that it had received an unspecified number of casualties following the Israeli strike.
Wednesday’s attack was the ninth to have targeted schools in Gaza since early August, killing at least 179 civilians, including women and children, and injuring hundreds, according to Palestinian figures.
An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7 and more than 200 were taken captive.
