Gaza: 42 Palestinians killed, 163 injured by Israeli bombing last 24 hours

London, (The Muslim News): Gaza’s health authorities said at least 42 more Palestinians were killed and 163 others injured by Israeli Defence Forces’ indiscriminate attacks on last 24 hours in Gaza Srip bringing the overall death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli froces since last Oct. 7 to 40,265 and 93,144 others injured..

Several of civilians were killed and injured as a result of the continuous Israeli airstrikes on different areas in the Gaza Strip.

In the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, 11 people were killed and others were injured at dawn in an Israeli shelling that targeted a house belonging to the Hamouda family in Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip.

Most of the victims were children and women and their bodies arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital charred while others are still under the rubble.

In the Tal al-Zaatar area in Jabalia, north of the Strip, three Palestinians were killed and others were injured as a result of the Israeli forces shelling a residential apartment belonging to the Salman family.

As for the city of Khan Yunis, a child and a woman were killed as a result of an Israeli missile shelling that targeted a house belonging to the Abu Daqqa family in the al-Fakhari area, east of the city.

Meanwhile, the Israeli army also opened fire at the tents of the displaced people in Mawasi al-Qarara, northwest of Khan Yunis.

A number of Palestinians were also injured when the Israali forces bombed a house belonging to the Al-Judaili family in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, while the occupation forces’ artillery shelled the northwest of the camp and the Al-Maghraqa area.

Israeli forces’ artillery fired its shells intensively, coinciding with heavy gunfire on the neighborhoods of Tal Al-Hawa, Al-Zeitoun, and Al-Sabra in Gaza City, amid intense flying of Israeli drones, reported Wafa News Agency.

The Israeli forces’ warplanes launched raids east of the city of Deir Al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, and blew up residential buildings west of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.

Thousands of Palestinians fled parts of Deir el-Balah in central Gaza as the Israeli military issued new evacuation orders, and its forces advanced deeper into the overcrowded central city.

An Al Jazeera correspondent reported that the two Palestinians were killed by an Israeli drone that targeted a school sheltering displaced people near the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah.

Four Palestinians, including a child, were killed and several others injured this evening following Israeli airstrikes on two civilian gatherings and a shelter for displaced families in the Gaza Strip.

In Khan Younis, south of the territory, medical sources at Nasser Medical Complex reported that the bodies of three victims, including a child, arrived at the facility following an Israeli airstrike on a civilian gathering in the town of Abasan.

In addition, local sources confirmed that one individual was killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike targeting a civilian gathering east of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

The Israeli airstrikes also hit a shelter for displaced people in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, resulting in additional injuries.

Meantime, medical reported that the death toll in Gaza has risen to 44 since the early morning hours today, following a series of airstrikes by Israeli forces across the territory.

At least four Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Thursday in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip, according to multiple sources.

A medical source at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis told Anadolu Agency that three Palestinians, including a child, were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of civilians in the town of Abasan, in southern Gaza.

Meanwhile, Gaza’s civil defense agency said in a statement that a Palestinian lost his life and others sustained injuries as Israeli warplanes struck another gathering of civilians east of the Zaytoun neighborhood in Gaza City.

In another statement, the agency said that an Israeli aircraft targeted a warehouse in the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, causing injuries.

The warehouse was housing displaced Palestinians, witnesses told Anadolu.

Meanwhile, at least 564 people have been killed and 1,848 others injured in Israeli attacks in Lebanon since Oct. 8, the Health Ministry said on Thursday.

A ministry statement added that nearly 110,099 people have been displaced from their areas due to Israeli bombardment.

Israel still occupies the Shebaa Farms in southern Lebanon as well as the Golan Heights in Syria and the Palestinian West Bank.
