Gaza: 41 Palestinians killed, 113 injured by Israeli bombings last 24 hours

At least 41 more Palestinians were killed and 113 others were injured in Israeli Defence Forces indiscriminate bombings in last 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, taking the overall death toll of Palestinians killed by Israel to 40,476 and 93,647 others injured since last Oct. 7, the Health Ministry in the battered territory said on Tuesday.

At least nine Palestinians were killed in fresh airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Tuesday as Israel continued its deadly offensive on the enclave, according to medical sources.

An Israeli drone strike targeted a house in the southern city of Khan Younis, leaving four people dead and injuring several others, a medical source told Anadolu Agency.

Four other people lost their lives in another airstrike in Namsawi neighborhood west of Khan Younis, another source said.

Another civilian was killed and several people were injured in another airstrike on a car in northern Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, the source said.

Israeli forces also shelled refugee tents in Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah, according to witnesses.

Artillery shelling was reported in eastern Deir al-Balah and the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza. Several homes also came under Israeli gunfire in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.

In northern Gaza, five Palestinians were killed in two Israeli strikes. The first strike targeted a group of civilians in the Jabalia refugee camp, leaving three dead, while the second strike hit an apartment in the Al-Amoudi area, killing two others.

In Gaza City, 23 Palestinians were killed in five separate airstrikes. The first strike occurred in Gaza Beach, while the second targeted a home belonging to the Al-Ajil family in the western part of the city.

Additional details from Gaza City reveal that the third strike occurred on Al-Thalathini Street in the southeastern part of the city. The fourth strike targeted an apartment in the western part of the city and the fifth strike killed four children in an attack on the Zainou family’s home in the Al-Daraj neighborhood.

In the central governorate, Bassal reported that seven Palestinians were killed in two Israeli strikes. The first targeted the entrance of Haret Al-Jaafrawi, southeast of Deir al-Balah, resulting in two deaths, while the second hit an apartment belonging to the Sidem family in the Maghazi camp, killing five Palestinians, including one child.

In Khan Younis in southern Gaza, an Israeli strike targeted a civilian vehicle in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, resulting in five deaths.

An Israeli airstrike targeted a home in the central Gaza Strip late Monday, killing three Palestinians, including two children.

In a statement, the Civil Defense said its rescue teams “removed three martyrs including two children and a number injured in an Israeli targeting of an apartment of the Saidam family in the Al-Maghazi refugee camp.”

More Israeli airstrikes were reported across the Gaza Strip, leaving casualties among Palestinians. Health authorities have yet to comment on the strikes.

Israeli attacks, mainly in Deir el-Balah in central Gaza and Khan Younis in the south, have killed at least 20 people this morning, Al Jazeera correspondent in the Gaza Strip reported..

Israeli forces Tuesday evening killed a displaced Palestinian to the west of the city of Khan Younes in the southern war-torn Gaza Strip, according to local sources, reported Wafa News Agency.

They said that the occupation forces opened gunfire towards Asdaa’ tent city camp for displaced people, west of Khan Younes, killing one.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery pounded Abasan al-Kabira town and al-Mahatta neighborhood, east and north of the city, at a time when the occupation forces blew up residential buildings in the city.

At least 7 civilians were killed and others were injured today in an Israeli shelling that targeted Deir al-Balah, the Bureij refugee camp, Khan Yunis and the Zeitoun district of Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that four civilians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombardment of a house in Deir al-Balah in the center of the Strip.

Several civilians were also killed and wounded in an airstrike targeting a house in the Batten al-Sameen in central Khan Yunis, south of the Strip.

A father and his son were also killed in the Israeli bombing of their home in the Bureij refugee camp. A citizen was killed and another was injured in the occupation’s bombing of al-Abrar east of the Zeitoun neighborhood in southern Gaza City.

Medical sources reported that 20 civilians have also been killed in the ongoing Israeli bombardment of scattered areas of the Gaza Strip since dawn today.
