Gaza: 37 Palestinians killed, 54 injured by Israeli forces in the last 24hours

(The Muslim News): 37 more Palestinians were killed and 54 others injured by Israeli Defence Forces indiscriminate attacks on the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, taking the overall death toll of Palestinians to 38,919 and 89.622 others injured since last Oct. ,7 the enclave’s Health Ministry said on Saturday.

Dozens of civilians today were killed and others injured as the occupation warplanes bombed various areas of the Gaza Strip on the 288th day of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip.

Local sources reported that the occupation artillery bombed the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, southwest of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, medics from the Palestinian Red Crescent Society retrieved six slain individuals following an Israeli airstrike targeting a group of Palestinians in the vicinity of the community college in the neighborhood.

Paramedics also retrieved the bodies of six others and 10 wounded individuals in an Israeli raid on a residential apartment belonging to the Ayyad family in Muraie Abu Al-Amin in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, north of Gaza City, reports Wafa News Agency.

Local sources said that rescue teams and paramedics retrieved the bodies of four people, the citizen Yassin Al-Shuraihi, his wife and children, and a number of those wounded as a result of the Israeli targeting a house belonging to the Al-Shuraihi family in the new camp in Nuseirat in the central Gaza Strip.

In addition, this afternoon, two civilians were killed and four children injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, and Bureij refugee camp in the central region.

The Israeli warplanes bombed an inhabited house belonging to the Abu Sidra family in Nuseirat refugee camp, in the vicinity of Murad Al-Talaa Mosque in the central Gaza Strip, resulting in the injury of several people.

In the meantime, the Israeli fighter jets also targeted a house belonging to the Abu Jasser family near ​​Jabalia refugee camp in the middle of the Gaza Strip, resulting in the killing of four people and the injury of others.

Three people were killed and others were injured when the occupation warplanes bombed the home of the Al-Batran family in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. The occupation warplanes also targeted an inhabited house in the vicinity of the Martyrs’ Roundabout in the camp.

Moving to the south, the occupation tanks bombed residential neighborhoods west of the city of Rafah, coinciding with Israeli artillery shelling of the eastern areas of the city of Khan Yunis.

Ambulance crews transferred the body of a civilian to Nasser hospital after being targeted by an Israeli drone while he was riding a bicycle on Street 5, north of the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

According to Wafa News Agency correspondent, an Israeli drone targeted the Areba area north of Rafah, leading to the killing of two civilians and injuries to others.

Meantime, eyewitnesses reported that four children sustained various injuries after they were targeted by a drone while on the rooftop of their home in Bureij refugee camp, located in central Gaza Strip.

This afternoon, several civilians were killed and others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on Gaza City and the al-Nuseirat refugee camp.

Local sources said that the Israeli warplanes targeted a group of civilians on al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City, resulting in the killing of several people and the wounding of others.

Meanwhile, three civilians were killed and others were injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Siam family, west of Yassin station in the al-Saftawi area, north of Gaza City.

Six Palestinians were killed and several others injured on Saturday in Israeli airstrikes targeting homes and apartments in the Gaza Strip.

“Three martyrs and several injuries were reported following an Israeli airstrike on an apartment belonging to the Naima Allah family in the Nuseirat camp, central Gaza Strip,” Al-Awda Hospital in Gaza said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the Gaza Civil Defense reported that “an Israeli airstrike targeted a home belonging to the Al-Sabbagh family in the Al-Daraj neighborhood in Gaza City, resulting in one martyr and several injured, including critical cases.”

The Civil Defense noted that an Israeli strike destroyed residential apartments in the Ain Jalout Towers in the Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip.

Another Palestinian journalist was killed in an Israeli attack on the Gaza Strip Saturday, bringing the death toll to 161 Palestinian journalists and their by Israeli forces since Oct. 7, 2023.

Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that the Israeli army targeted the home of journalist Muhammad Jasser in the northern Gaza Strip.

The attack killed Jasser, his wife, and his two children.

Meanwhile in the West Bank the Israeli army late Friday killed a Palestinian teen in the southern occupied West Bank.

Palestine television said Ibrahim Zaqeeq, 19, was shot in his head by Israeli forces in Beit Ummar.

It said Zaqeeq was released from Israeli jail two weeks ago and is the only son in his family.

Witnesses told Anadolu that an Israeli force raided Beit Ummar and opened fire on Palestinians, seriously injuring Zaqeeq and others who suffered asphyxiation from teargas.

Early Friday, another Palestinian died from wounds he sustained in January from Israeli forces near Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank.

In the last few years, the Israeli military has conducted regular raids in the West Bank, which have escalated with the beginning of the onslaught against the Gaza Strip on Oct. 7. Palestinians have also been violently attacked by illegal Israeli settlers.

At least 578 Palestinians have since been killed and nearly 5,350 injured by Israeli army fire in the occupied territory, according to the Health Ministry.

The death toll in Israel from Hamas-led attacks on October 7 is estimated at 1,139 with dozens of people still held captive in Gaza.
