(The Muslim News) In the last 24 hours, 34 Palestinians were killed and 71 others injured by Israeli Defence Forces’ indiscriminate bombings in the Gaza Strip, according to the Health Ministry. this has increased total number of deaths killed by Israeli forces to at least 37,266 and 85,102 injured since 7 October, the Health Ministry in the besieged enclave said on Friday.
Israeli bombardment from the air, land, and sea continues to be reported across much of the Gaza Strip, resulting in further civilian casualties, displacement, and destruction of houses and other civilian infrastructure.
Ground incursions and heavy fighting also continue to be reported across Gaza, including in Beit Hanoun, south of Gaza city, eastern Deir al Balah, northeastern Khan Younis, as well as in eastern, central and western Rafah.
An Israeli army airstrike late killed a baby and injured dozens when it hit a home in eastern Gaza City.
Witnesses told Anadolu Agency that an Israeli warplane struck the home in the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, while dozens of people were inside.
The Civil Defense rescue teams removed the body of the baby and transferred dozens of injured victims to a hospital, said witnesses.
They added that rescue teams continue to look for the injured under the rubble.
The Israeli army on Friday reported the continuation of its incursion in the southern and central Gaza Strip, amid ongoing mediation efforts to achieve a cease-fire agreement.
In a statement, the army said “the forces of the 162nd Division continue their operations in the Rafah area in the south, while the forces of the 99th Division continue their operations in the center of the Gaza Strip.”
The army claimed that “over the past 24 hours, the army forces have eliminated a number of militants and discovered many weapons and underground tunnel openings.”
Simultaneous with the military offensive in Rafah, hundreds of Palestinians on Thursday continued to evacuate from the Al-Mawasi area in Rafah to the west of Khan Younis and the Central Governorate.
In the northern Gaza Strip, the Israeli army reported on Thursday evening observing several rocket launches toward settlements adjacent to the Gaza Strip.
“Some of these rockets were intercepted by the Iron Dome, while the remainder landed in open areas without causing casualties,” it claimed.
The army said its forces attacked the launch sites used to conduct the attacks, adding that it destroyed a weapons depot in the area.
Rocket launches from northern Gaza occurred for the first time since Saturday, when the army reported detecting the launch of two missiles from the Jabalia camp towards the adjacent area. The launch followed shortly after the army’s actions in the Nuseirat camp, which led to the deaths of approximately 300 Palestinians.
Bottom of Form, five Palestinians were killed this afternoon in a series of Israeli bombardments targeting southern and central Gaza.
Local sources reported that Israeli naval forces fired heavy machine guns off the coast of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, resulting in the murder of two fishermen.
Simultaneously, Israeli occupation forces opened fire on residents in the town of Al-Shawka, east of Rafah. This attack led to the killing of two Palestinians and injuries to several others. Meantime, Israeli helicopters fired machine gunfire at the western areas of the city.
In central Gaza, Israeli warplanes bombed a house in Deir al-Balah, causing the killing of one citizen and injuring others.
Furthermore, Israeli artillery targeted Sikka Street in the southeast Zaytoun neighborhood of Gaza City, coinciding with shelling around the school complex on Mansoura Street in the Shujaiya neighborhood to the east.
Medical sources reported that at least 20 Palestinians have been killed in various Israeli airstrikes across Gaza since the early hours of today.
The Israeli occupation warplanes also targeted civilian homes in Deir al-Balah in the central Strip, resulting in the injury of several civilians.
Civil defense and rescue crews recovered two bodies from the Saudi neighborhood west of the southern Gaza city of Rafah, in the south.
Israeli navy boats also attacked the port area near Khan Yunis, in the southern Strip, which resulted in the killing of a civilian.
Last night, Israeli airstrikes on residential areas in Gaza City resulted in the killing of three women and a child, according to Wafa News Agency.
Local sources reported that the airstrikes targeted a home belonging to the Bakri family near Haidar Square in western Gaza City, leading to the tragic murder of three women. Additionally, a child was killed in a separate airstrike within the city.
Simultaneously, Israeli warplanes conducted two raids southeast of the Al Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City and another strike at the entrance of the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip.
