(The Musilm News): 31 more Palestinians have been killed and 62 others injured by Israeli Defence Forces indiscriminate attacks in the last 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, bringing the overall death toll of Palestinians to 39,550, including 16,314 children by Israeli forces since last Oct. 7, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Saturday. A ministry statement added that some 10,000 are missing.
Out of 31 Palestinians killed across the Gaza Strip in last 24 hours, 24 of them just within the past 12 hours.
Ten died in a western Gaza neighbourhood when the Israeli military dropped a bomb, partially destroying a school which had been turned into a shelter for thousands of displaced families in Sheikh Radwan neighbourhood of Gaza Strip in the northern strip.
At least three bombs were then dropped on the school as rescuers and volunteers inside the facility were trying to help people from under the rubble.
Those three bombs destroyed the facility completely. We don’t know exactly how many people have been killed in that attack yet, reports Al Jazeera.
This is the tactic that the Israeli military has widely used in the past. The military drops a bomb that partially destroys facilities, namely evacuation centres, killing a number of people, and then within a few minutes, it drops other bombs.
According to AlJazeera correspondent, the initial strike targeted the Hamama School in the Sheikh Radwan neighborhood. The school was hit by three missiles once again while emergency and civil defense teams were attempting to evacuate the victims.
A medical source at the Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza reported that several of the deceased and injured were children, and the bombing caused significant damage to classrooms in the already overcrowded school.
This incident marks a troubling continuation of Israel’s attacks on schools sheltering displaced families, with previous strikes having caused significant loss of life. The current Israeli military onslaught, which has persisted for over 302 days, has seen numerous similar attacks.
The most recent prior incident occurred last Thursday, when an Israeli airstrike on a school-turned-shelter in the Shujaiya neighborhood resulted in the killing of 15 people.
The Israeli army has bombed a house in Block 1 of the Bureij refugee camp, killing at least three Palestinians.

Al Jazeera’s correspondent, citing Gaza’s civil defence, reports that two people were killed and one was injured by an Israeli attack in the Zeitoun neighbourhood of Gaza City in the northern Strip.
An Israeli airstrike on the city of Gaza Friday evening killed five people, including three children, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
PRCS said that its medics managed to retrieve the bodies of three children, an elderly man, and a woman from the rubble of the Abu Hsira family’s house that was targeted by an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza city neighborhood of Sabra.
The bodies of the victims were transferred to the Arab al-Ahli Hospital, known as al-Ma’madani, in Gaza.

The Israeli army bombed the University College of Applied Sciences in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood of southwest Gaza City, completely destroying campus buildings, the Palestinian Civil Defense in Gaza reported on Saturday.
Civil Defense spokesperson Mahmoud Basal said in a press release that “Israeli occupation forces, which have penetrated the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood, executed operations of bombing and destroying the university buildings, leading to their total demolition.”
Eyewitnesses told Anadolu that massive explosions were heard around the university premises, and thick clouds of smoke were seen rising from the area.
Since the onset of the devastating Israeli war on Gaza on Oct. 7, the Israeli army has deliberately targeted and destroyed educational institutions, particularly during ground offensives.
According to statistics from the Government Media Office in Gaza, Israel has destroyed 117 schools and universities, damaged 332 others, and killed 107 scientists, university professors, and researchers.

Separately, civil defense crews said that in the central Gaza Strip, two Palestinians were killed and three others injured when Israeli warplanes bombed a house belonging to the Al-Dayah family in the Bureij refugee camp.
In the meanwhile, at least nine Palestinians were killed on Saturday in Israeli drone attacks targeting two vehicles in the northern occupied West Bank, said official media.
“Four citizens were martyred on Saturday in an Israeli bombing targeting a vehicle on the road between the town of Bal’a and the Iktaba suburb east of Tulkarm,” reported official Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Earlier, the agency reported that “an Israeli army drone Saturday morning targeted a Palestinian vehicle on the Zeita-Attil Road, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Tulkarm, killing five Palestinians.”
The charred bodies of five people were brought to the city’s Thabet Thabet Government Hospital, it added, quoting the hospital director.
One of the fatalities was identified as Yaytham Nuriddin Bleidi, 25, from the Tulkarm refugee camp.
Following the airstrike, Israeli occupation forces stormed and cordoned the scene off, blocking residents from approaching, Wafa added.
The Israeli army confirmed the attack without providing any details.
