Gaza: 142 Palestinians killed, 150 injured by Israeli forces last 24 hours

London, (The Muslim News): At least 142 Palestinians were killed and 150 others injured in indiscriminate Israeli Defence Forces attacks in the lasV 24 hours in the Gaza Strip, bringing the overall death toll of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces to 39,897 and 92,152 injured since last Oct. 7, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Monday.

Israeli forces killed at least 18 Palestinians overnight in heavy bombardments on the eastern regions of the central and southern Gaza Strip, which continued into Monday morning, as well as targeting residential areas in eastern Khan Younis and western Rafah.

Medical sources told Anadolu Agency that 16 bodies have been transferred from various areas of southern Gaza to the Nasser Medical Complex in western Khan Younis since Sunday night.

Those Palestinians were killed in the Israeli strikes on Khan Younis and Rafah, with rescue teams recovering several bodies from the rubbles following heavy bombardment.

Israeli warplanes launched heavy raids on the southeastern and northeastern areas of Khan Younis and eastern Deir al-Balah, causing significant damage to residential structures, eyewitnesses told Anadolu.

They added that the Israeli military demolished residential blocks in Abasan al-Jadida town, east of Khan Younis, and damaged some residential buildings in the Tel Sultan neighborhood, west of Rafah.

At least ten Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured this evening in an Israeli airstrike east of the city of Khan Younis, located in the southern Gaza Strip.

Local sources reported that an Israeli airstrike targeted a residential building in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, resulting in the killing of ten individuals and the injury of several others, according to Wafa News Agency.

Several civilians were killed today in an Israeli shelling that targeted a house in the city of Khan Yunis, in the southern war-torn Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources, several civilians were killed and others were injured in an Israeli bombing targeting the home of the Najjar family east of Khan Yunis.

Two civilians were killed and others were injured today in an Israeli airstrike on the Gaza City.

Local sources said that the occupation warplanes targeted a house belonging to the Murad family west of Gaza City, resulting in the killing of at least two civilians and the injury of others.

In central Gaza, two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli drone strike targeting the entrance to the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to medical sources.

Israeli warplanes also targeted the home of Jamil Mazhar, deputy secretary-general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, in the Nuseirat refugee camp, according to a statement from the group.

Israeli artillery also intensified its bombardment of al-Jurah and al-Husayna streets in Gaza City’s southern Sabra neighborhood.

Eyewitnesses said the indiscriminate artillery fires hit the Sabra area, causing extensive damage to residential homes and infrastructure.

At least 22 people were killed in fresh Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip on Monday, according to medical sources.

An Israeli raid targeted a group of civilians in the Zaitoun neighborhood of Gaza City, killing five people, while two more people lost their lives in an Israeli strike on a house west of Gaza City, witnesses said.

Medical sources at the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital confirmed that the bodies of seven people had been transferred to the hospital after the Israeli attacks.

Two more Palestinians, including a child, were killed and seven others injured, including four children, when Israeli fighter jets hit a house in the Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip, the medical sources said.

An Israeli drone also struck a house east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip, leaving six people dead and several others injured, the same sources said.

Three more people were killed after an Israeli strike on a civilian car near the European Hospital in Khan Younis, another medical source said.

A mother and her child were also killed in an Israeli drone strike in Khan Younis, while another civilian was killed in Israeli shelling east of the city, the same source said.

A young man also died of injuries sustained from Israeli army fire near the Nitsarim crossing in the central Gaza Strip, the source said.

An estimated 1,139 people were killed in Israel during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, and more than 200 were taken captive.
