London, (The Muslim News): At least 37 Palestinians were killed and many others injured in a wave of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, according to Palestinian medical and civil defence sources.
The Palestinian Civil Defense said Israeli attacks since dawn on Saturday alone killed 32 people, including women and children. Among the dead were five Palestinians, three children and two women, killed when an Israeli airstrike struck a residential apartment in the Rimal neighbourhood of western Gaza City, medical sources said.
In southern Gaza, seven members of the same family, a man, his three sons, and three young grandchildren—were killed after an Israeli strike hit a tent sheltering displaced people in the Asdaa area northwest of Khan Younis, according to paramedics at Nasser Hospital. Several others were wounded in separate strikes on residential buildings in the al-Tuffah neighbourhood east of Gaza City.
Israeli fighter jets also carried out airstrikes on al-Jalaa Street northwest of Gaza City and launched two strikes east of the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza. No casualties were reported in those attacks.
In Khan Younis, an Israeli jet struck the administration building of the “Ghaith” displacement camp near Al-Ribat College in the Al-Mawasi area. An Anadolu Agency correspondent reported that the attack came after an Israeli evacuation warning and was preceded by a drone strike. The Palestinian Civil Defense said the bombing caused fires in the tents housing displaced families, which crews later brought under control. Eyewitnesses reported extensive damage, with several tents destroyed.
In a separate incident, Israeli warplanes bombed the Sheikh Radwan police station west of Gaza City. Medical sources said 13 Palestinians were killed, including four female police officers, with others injured. Search operations are ongoing for people believed to be trapped under the rubble. Three more Palestinians were killed in an Israeli strike on a home in the al-Nasr neighbourhood, while another man was shot dead by Israeli gunfire east of Jabalia in northern Gaza.
The Israeli army claimed it targeted members of Hamas and Islamic Jihad and related infrastructure. On Friday, Israeli forces killed five Palestinians in separate incidents.
According to Gaza’s media office, since a ceasefire came into effect in early October, Israeli actions have killed 524 Palestinians, wounded 1,360 others, and resulted in 1,450 reported violations of the agreement.
The office also said 50 Palestinians have been arrested since the ceasefire, including from residential areas far from the designated buffer zone.
On humanitarian access, the media office reported that Israel has allowed 28,927 aid, fuel, and commercial trucks into Gaza out of 66,600 stipulated under the agreement—a compliance rate of 43 percent.
The ceasefire followed nearly two years of war, during which almost 71,800 Palestinians were killed and more than 171,400 wounded. Around 90 percent of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed, with UN estimates placing reconstruction costs at approximately $70 billion.

Meanwhile, violence has continued to escalate in the occupied West Bank. Late Saturday, Israeli forces wounded two Palestinian children during a raid on the Jalazone refugee camp north of Ramallah. According to the Palestinian news agency WAFA, a 15-year-old boy was shot in the foot and a 16-year-old sustained shrapnel injuries to his shoulder after soldiers fired live ammunition during clashes.
In parallel incidents, illegal Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian property across several areas. The Al-Baydar human rights organisation reported that settlers vandalised homes and sheep pens in Khirbet al-Malih in the northern Jordan Valley and attempted to assault a woman, describing the attacks as part of a systematic effort to force Palestinians off their land. In Qusra, south of Nablus, settlers attacked a Palestinian home before residents confronted them.
In another incident northeast of Ramallah, settlers burned and destroyed trees on Palestinian-owned land in the town of Turmus Ayya, WAFA reported. Israeli forces also raided the western outskirts of the town, though no arrests were reported.
Since Israel launched its assault on Gaza in October 2023, Palestinian figures indicate that at least 1,110 Palestinians have been killed, more than 11,500 injured, and over 21,000 detained across the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.
