London, (The Muslim News): Two Palestinians were killed on Tuesday in fresh Israeli strikes in the Gaza Strip amid continued violations of a ceasefire that has been in effect since October 2025, according to a medical source.

The source said an Israeli drone struck a tent sheltering displaced civilians in the Bir Ayyad area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, killing one person and injuring another.

In a separate incident, another Palestinian was killed and several others were wounded when a drone targeted a motorcycle west of Khan Younis, the source added.

Since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,027 people and injured 3,280 others, according to Gaza’s Health Ministry.

The truce was reached after two years of war that began on Oct. 8, 2023. According to Palestinian authorities, the conflict has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and wounded over 173,000 others, while destroying approximately 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure. The United Nations estimates reconstruction costs at around $70 billion.

Separately, the Israeli army arrested 21 Palestinians, including former detainees, during a series of raids across the occupied West Bank early Tuesday, according to the Prisoners’ Media Office.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces raided Al-Fawwar refugee camp south of Hebron, stormed dozens of homes, and detained around 25 Palestinians. Most were later released following field interrogations, while six remained in custody.

In the Bethlehem governorate, 11 Palestinians were arrested from various locations, including former prisoner Marwan Mahmoud Fararja, secretary of the Fatah movement in Aida refugee camp.

In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces detained one Palestinian from the village of Kafr Qalil east of Nablus and another from the town of Tammun in Tubas governorate.

Two additional Palestinians were arrested in Tulkarem governorate after soldiers raided and searched their homes.

“The wide and simultaneous arrest campaigns across several governorates reflect a continued escalation in the occupation’s policy toward Palestinians, particularly former prisoners and activists, through nighttime raids, mass field interrogations, and abuse of civilians,” the Prisoners’ Media Office said.

Israeli forces kill two civilians in Lebanon

In southern Lebanon, Israeli fire killed two young men in Nabatieh al-Fawqa after soldiers opened fire on a group on Tuesday, according to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA).

The Israeli army fired on a group of four people near a bulldozer that was reopening a road in the town’s Deir neighborhood. Two of the men were wounded and taken to the Lebanese Popular Aid Hospital in Nabatieh. One later succumbed to his injuries, raising the death toll to two.

The incident comes as Israel and Lebanon prepare for a fifth round of direct negotiations in Washington on Tuesday.

According to official Lebanese figures, Israeli attacks in Lebanon have killed more than 4,100 people and injured over 12,000 others since March 2.

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem said on Tuesday that Israel “has no option” but to withdraw from Lebanese territory under a defined timetable.

“The withdrawal must take place following the current ceasefire according to an agreed timetable,” Qassem said in a televised speech. “Israel has no option but to withdraw completely from all Lebanese territory.”

His remarks came despite repeated statements by Israeli officials, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, that the Israeli army will not withdraw from areas occupied in southern Lebanon, despite a recently signed interim understanding between Iran and the United States calling for respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Meanwhile, Israeli media reported that the United States has imposed new restrictions on Israeli military activity in Lebanon under the understanding reached with Iran.

“Netanyahu is selling Israelis fiction on Lebanon as Trump sidelines Israel in Iran talks,” military analyst Amos Harel wrote in Haaretz.

“For now, it seems that the Trump administration has succeeded in imposing a ceasefire in Lebanon,” Harel wrote. “The Israeli army and Hezbollah have stopped attacking each other.”

Bosnians condemn Israeli comments that Christians need to be protected

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Party of Democratic Action (SDA), the country’s largest Bosniak political party, criticized comments made by Israel’s foreign minister, saying they amounted to interference in the country’s internal affairs.

After meeting on Monday with Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Serb member of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s tripartite Presidency, Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar wrote on X that they had discussed “the need to safeguard the Christian minorities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

The SDA, founded by the country’s first president, the late Alija Izetbegovic, strongly condemned the remarks.

In a statement, the party said Saar’s comments were part of a broader propaganda campaign targeting Bosniaks, who are predominantly Muslim, and constituted direct interference in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s domestic affairs.

Iranian negotiating team withdrew from talks with US due to Trump’s threats

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf also revealed details of recent negotiations with the United States.

“In the middle of the discussions, I learned that Trump had made threatening remarks regarding our president, the negotiating team, and possible attacks on our territory,” Ghalibaf said.

“I told Vance: ‘We are here engaged in talks, and according to the signed understanding, the first clause states that there should be no threats or coercion. Yet today your president has issued threats. Understand that we never negotiate under threats or pressure.’”

According to Ghalibaf, the Iranian delegation ended the talks and left the meeting.

“The American side sought another meeting through the mediators, but we refused. The Qatari and Pakistani mediators then came to us, and we told them that we would speak with them, but not with the American side directly,” he said.

He added that the outcome of the discussions and the 80-minute negotiations was reflected in a statement later issued by the Qatari and Pakistani mediators.

According to Ghalibaf, the U.S. president had threatened military action against Iran and warned of measures against the Iranian negotiating team unless the Strait of Hormuz was reopened, prompting Qatar and Pakistan to continue mediation efforts behind the scenes.
