Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours has killed 56 Palestinians and wounded 108 others, said Health Ministry in the enclave on Saturday, bringing total Palestinians killed to 51,495 and injuring 117,524 others.

In one of the attacks, an Israeli airstrike targeted a cafe in the city of Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, killing four Palestinians, a medical source told Anadolu Agency.

Another airstrike targeted a gathering of civilians northwest of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, killing one Palestinian, according to a statement from Al-Awda Hospital.

According to medical sources, 10 of the victims were killed when an airstrike hit a home belonging to the al-Khour family in the Sabra neighborhood, south of Gaza City.

Witnesses said the house was bombed while residents were inside.

The Civil Defense said many individuals remain buried under the rubble, and search and rescue operations had been initiated.

Meanwhile, three Palestinians were killed and others wounded early morning when a home in the Al-Shati refugee camp in Gaza City was targeted.

In the southern Gaza Strip, an airstrike targeted a gathering of civilians near Kuwait Hospital in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Younis, killing three Palestinians, according to medical sources.

Another airstrike hit the Abu Mazid family’s home in Al-Zawayda town in central Gaza, killing two.

In the northern Gaza Strip, a medical source confirmed that two Palestinians were killed in a strike near the Education Roundabout in Beit Lahia, and many others got injured.

Two were killed in separate strikes on the Izbat Beit Hanoun area in northern Gaza and another in Al-Shujaiya neighbourhood, eastern Gaza City.

Meanwhile, head of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees said Friday that children in the Gaza Strip are “starving” because of Israel’s aid blockade.

“#Gaza: children are starving. The Government of Israel continues to block the entry of food + other basics. A manmade & politically motivated starvation. Nearly 2 months of siege. Calls to bring in supplies are going unheeded,” Philippe Lazzarini wrote on X.

His statement comes as the World Food Programme (WFP) announced it has distributed its last remaining food stocks to kitchens in Gaza.

The enclave risks running out of supplies within days, according to the UN agency.

Crossings have been sealed since March 2, blocking all aid for more than seven weeks — the longest closure in Gaza’s history.

A Palestinian teen was killed Friday by the Israeli army during a raid in the northern occupied West Bank.

The head of the municipal council of Salem village, Adli Shtayyeh, told Anadolu that Abdul Khaleq Jbour, 17, was killed in the village in eastern Nablus.

He said Jbour sustained a critical chest wound from live fire and later died from his injuries at the hospital.

The official noted that Israeli forces raided the village, triggering clashes with Palestinians who were confronted with Israeli live fire and tear gas canister

A group of Israeli settlers cut water pipelines on Saturday evening that supply drinking water to Palestinian homes in the village of Al-Auja, north of Jericho in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources, reported Wafa News Agency.

Hassan Mleihat, General Supervisor of the Al-Baydar Organization for the Defense of Bedouin Rights, a local anti-colonization group, told WAFA that Israeli settlers drove provocatively through the area in their vehicles before deliberately cutting pipes that transport water from the Al-Auja spring to residents’ homes.

Mleihat stated that the attack is part of a broader, systematic campaign aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinian residents from their land. He described it as a deliberate escalation in efforts to empty the region of its indigenous population.

YEMEN

The Yemeni Houthi [Ansar Allah] group on Saturday said it targeted Israel’s Nevatim Airbase with a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said in a televised statement that the missile “successfully reached its target and the interception systems failed to stop it.”

Earlier in the day, the Israeli army announced its air defense systems intercepted a missile launched from Yemen before it entered Israeli airspace, triggering sirens in several areas.

The Houthis have targeted ships passing through the Red and Arabian seas, the Bab al-Mandab Strait, and the Gulf of Aden since November 2023 in solidarity with Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Yemeni Houthi group reported more American raids Friday on areas in northern and central Yemen.

Houthi-run Al-Masirah TV reported “US aggression with four raids that targeted the area of Takhyah in the Majz district” in northwest Saada province.

The broadcaster also reported a US airstrike on the Bani Matar district in Sanaa province in central Yemen.

It, however, did not report any casualties or property damage from the strikes.

US President Donald Trump said last month that he ordered “decisive and powerful military action” against the Houthi group and later threatened to “completely annihilate them.”
