A roadside bomb went off at a police patrol in southern Baghdad, killing a policeman and injuring four others, police officer Salman al-Jabiri said.

According to al-Jabiri, six people were also killed and 22 others injured in three blasts in al-Dora and al-Furat districts in southern Baghdad.

“Three unidentified bodies, including an 8-year-old child, were also found with gunshot [wounds] in al-Mada’en district in southern Baghdad,” he added.

In another development, an Iraqi commander said that 125 Iraqi civilians were evacuated from southern Ramadi after Daesh militants had imposed a siege.

He said that Iraqi forces arrested 15 Daesh militants, who were hiding among the evacuated civilians.
