London, (The Muslim News): At least eleven Palestinians, including two children and three journalists, were killed on Wednesday as Israeli forces carried out a series of attacks across the Gaza Strip, in what Palestinian officials described yet another violation of the ceasefire agreement in place since October 10.

The Palestine Health Ministry said six others were injured in strikes that hit multiple areas of Gaza, though it did not immediately release further details about the locations or identities of the victims. Munir al-Bursh, Director-General of Gaza’s Health Ministry, confirmed that three of those killed were journalists working in southern Gaza.

The Gaza Media Office said the latest deaths bring the number of journalists killed since the start of Israel’s military onslaught to 260.

The three journalists, Anas Ghunaim, Abdul Ra’ouf Shaath and Mohammad Qeshta, were documenting developments on the ground near the so-called Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza when they were struck, according to colleagues and medical officials cited by Al Jazeera.

Israeli Army Radio, quoting an unnamed security source, said the Israeli Air Force had targeted a vehicle in central Gaza, alleging that its occupants were using a drone to gather intelligence on Israeli forces.

Earlier, witnesses reported that Israeli artillery shelled eastern areas of Deir al-Balah, killing at least three people, amid what residents described as near-daily ceasefire violations. Airstrikes also hit eastern neighbourhoods of Gaza City, while medical sources said three more people were killed there and another three in southern Gaza.

In a separate strike in eastern Deir al-Balah, three members of the same family, including a child, were killed, sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital said.

Residents in northern Gaza and Gaza City said two powerful explosions were heard after Israeli forces demolished remaining buildings and facilities east of the Sheikh Zayed area.

Israeli naval vessels also opened machine-gun fire along the Gaza City coastline, while helicopters and military vehicles targeted eastern districts of the city.

In the south, heavy fire was reported from Israeli military vehicles positioned east of Khan Younis.

Israel continues to control southern and eastern buffer zones in Gaza, as well as large swathes of the north, occupying more than half of the enclave.

Since October 8, 2023, Israel’s two-year military campaign in Gaza has killed more than 71,500 Palestinians and wounded over 171,300, while destroying around 90 per cent of the territory’s civilian infrastructure.

Palestinian officials say that since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025 Israeli attacks have killed 483 people and injured 1,287 others, alongside severe restrictions on food, shelter and medical aid to Gaza’s 2.4 million residents.

Israeli force continue to attack Palestinians in West Bank, injuring many

The violence has extended beyond Gaza. In the occupied West Bank, a 26-year-old Palestinian man was shot by Israeli forces on Wednesday evening in the town of Al-Ram, north of occupied Jerusalem. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said the man was hit with live ammunition in the lower back near the separation wall and was transferred to hospital.

Local sources said Israeli forces were chasing workers in the area when they opened fire, wounding one of them. Earlier in the day, five Palestinians were injured after Israeli soldiers beat them during an ongoing military incursion into the Jabal Jawhar area of Hebron, medical officials said.

The Israeli army announced on Monday the launch of a multi-day operation in Hebron involving Shin Bet and Border Police, citing what it described as a rise in armed activity and clan-based violence. The operation is concentrated in the H2 area, which remains under full Israeli control under the 1997 Hebron Protocol and includes neighbourhoods surrounding the Old City and the Ibrahimi Mosque.

As Israeli forces partially lifted a curfew on southern Hebron for around three hours on Wednesday, thousands of Palestinians rushed to shops to buy food and basic supplies. Witnesses told Anadolu that Israeli troops withdrew from some neighbourhoods, though no Israeli source confirmed how long the easing would last.

Since October 2023, Israeli forces and illegal Jewish settlers have killed at least 1,107 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, injured nearly 11,000 and detained around 21,000 others, according to Palestinian figures. Last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Israeli forces kill two, injures 19 people in Lebanon

Meanwhile, Israeli attacks also intensified in southern Lebanon, where at least two people were killed and 19 others wounded, including journalists, in drone strikes on Wednesday, in what Lebanese officials said was a further breach of a ceasefire in effect since November 2024.

Lebanon’s state news agency NNA reported that an Israeli drone strike hit a car on the Zahrani–Msayleh road, killing one person, while another drone targeted a vehicle on the Bazouriyeh–Burj al-Shimali road near Tyre, leaving another civilian dead.

Israeli army spokesperson Avichay Adraee claimed the strikes targeted two Hezbollah operatives in the Sidon area and Burj al-Shimali. Hezbollah and the Lebanese government did not immediately comment.

Israeli air raids later struck five villages , Qanariyat, Kfour, Jirjua, Ansar and Kharayeb, after evacuation warnings were issued on social media, with Israeli officials alleging the presence of Hezbollah-linked infrastructure. The villages lie north of the Litani River, despite Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam saying the state had “practically” established control south of the river for the first time since 1969.

NNA said air raids on Qanariyat wounded 19 people, including journalists, with two admitted to intensive care.

In a separate statement, the Israeli army said it had struck four border crossings between Syria and Lebanon near Hermel, claiming they were used by Hezbollah to smuggle weapons. It also announced the killing of Muhammad Awasha, whom it described as a key weapons smuggler for the group.

Israeli ceasefire violations have killed and wounded hundreds of Lebanese, while Israel continues to occupy five hilltops seized during the latest war, in addition to areas it has held for decades. Israel’s military campaign against Lebanon, which began in October 2023 and escalated into full-scale war in September 2024, has killed more than 4,000 people and wounded around 17,000.

Israel also continues to occupy territory in Palestine and Syria, while rejecting withdrawal and the establishment of a Palestinian state.
