London, (The Muslim News): Israeli military operations across Gaza, the occupied West Bank and southern Lebanon killed several people on Sunday, according to Palestinian and Lebanese officials, amid renewed accusations of ceasefire violations.

In Gaza, three Palestinians were killed and at least six others injured in Israeli attacks, medical sources said, describing the incidents as breaches of the October 10 ceasefire. Two people were killed in separate strikes in Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and in the Shujaiya–Tuffah area east of Gaza City. Another man was killed by Israeli gunfire in the Tuffah neighbourhood, where witnesses said troops fired on tents housing displaced civilians.

Israeli forces also struck a UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) building in Jabalia, in northern Gaza, wounding two people, witnesses said. A drone strike hit a communications tower on Al-Wehda Street in central Gaza City, which houses several media offices, injuring four passers-by.

Palestinian officials say Israel has repeatedly violated the ceasefire that halted its two-year campaign in Gaza, which has killed more than 71,000 people and injured nearly 171,400 since October 2023. Gaza’s Health Ministry said at least 484 people have been killed since the truce began.

Israel kills a Palestinian in West Bank

In the occupied West Bank, Israeli forces killed one Palestinian and detained at least 11 others during raids, medics and local sources said. The Health Ministry identified the dead man as Ammar Hijazi, 34, who was shot near the Ayoun al-Haramiya junction north of Ramallah. Israeli police said he was shot after refusing to stop his vehicle.

Israeli forces carried out arrests in several areas, including Al-Arroub refugee camp near Hebron, the Tulkarem area, Jenin district and villages northwest of Ramallah, according to Palestinian officials.

Separately, a Palestinian minor was killed and another critically wounded in a shooting in the Naqab region inside Israel’s 1948 territories, local sources said. The killing brings to 20 the number of Palestinians killed in criminal violence this year, amid protests over Israeli police failure to curb crime in Arab communities.

Jewish settler violence was also reported across the West Bank. Palestinian officials said illegal Israeli settlers assaulted children in Masafer Yatta, attacked farmers near Nablus, damaged homes, and disrupted water infrastructure east of Ramallah, cutting supplies to at least 19 communities.

According to Palestinian figures, Israeli forces and settlers have killed at least 1,109 Palestinians in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since October 2023. Last year, the International Court of Justice ruled Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory illegal and called for the removal of settlements.

Meanwhile, Hamas’ armed wing said it had provided mediators with information on the location of the body of Israeli soldier Ran Gvili, the last Israeli soldier believed to be held in Gaza. The group said Israeli forces were searching an area based on the information shared, accusing Israel of failing to fully comply with the ceasefire.

Israel kills 2 people in Lebanon

In southern Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes killed two people and injured another on Sunday, the Lebanese Health Ministry said, calling the attacks a violation of the November 2024 ceasefire.

Israeli strikes hit the towns of Kherbet Selem, near Bint Jbeil, and Derdghaiya, near Tyre. The Israeli army claimed the strikes targeted Hezbollah operatives.

Israel’s war with Lebanon, which escalated in September 2024, has killed more than 4,000 people and wounded about 17,000, Lebanese authorities say, with Israeli forces still occupying several areas despite the ceasefire.
