BRUSSELS (AA) – Police found an explosive device, “chemical products” and a Daesh flag in raids following Tuesday’s terror attacks in Brussels, the federal prosecutor said.

Two of the three terrorist suspects involved in bombings have been named by the Belgium media are brothers, Khalid and Brahim el-Bakaroui. Both of them were killed in the blasts. The third suspect is on the run. The bombers were known to the police.

In a statement, the prosecutor’s office said the materials were found during an operation in the city’s Schaerbeek district.

“A nail bomb, chemical products and a flag of Daesh were found during house searches,” the statement said.

At least 34 people were killed and more than 100 injured in three explosions at the airport and a metro station in Brussels on Tuesday morning.

The attacks came four days after a counter-terrorism raid in Brussels led to the capture of Saleh Abdeslam, the prime remaining suspect in November’s Paris attacks that killed 130.
