London, (The Muslim News): Four Palestinians, including a child, were killed and five others injured in fresh Israeli attacks across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, in what local medical sources described as another violation of the ceasefire that has been in effect since last October.

A medical source said two young men were killed and a third seriously injured in an Israeli drone strike in the northern town of Beit Lahia.

Witnesses said the drone targeted a group of civilians near Umm al-Fahm School, where hundreds of displaced Palestinians have been sheltering.

In a separate incident, a Palestinian woman was wounded by Israeli gunfire in the al-Amoudi area of Beit Lahia.

Local sources said the attacks occurred in areas outside the territory that remains under Israeli military occupation inside Gaza.

Elsewhere, a 13-year-old girl was killed by shrapnel from an Israeli artillery shell near the Bani Suheila roundabout, east of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, the medical source said.

Another Palestinian was killed and three others wounded in an Israeli strike targeting a group of civilians near a fuel depot in al-Mawasi, west of Khan Younis, the source added.

According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 1,041 people have been killed and 3,372 injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025.

The ceasefire followed two years of war that began on Oct. 8, 2023. According to Palestinian authorities, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed and over 173,000 wounded, while roughly 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been destroyed. The UN has estimated reconstruction costs at approximately $70 billion.

Iran urges US to set timetable for Israeli withdrawal from Lebanon

Iran on Sunday urged the United States to establish a timetable for Israel’s “unconditional” withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territory under a war-ending memorandum of understanding signed between Tehran and Washington.

“Ending the war and military operations of the Zionist regime against Lebanon, as well as the withdrawal of occupiers from all occupied Lebanese territories, is a necessary condition for reaching a final and sustainable agreement to establish stability in the region,” Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei said during a news briefing carried by the ISNA news agency.

Baqaei said safeguarding Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, along with “the dignity and security of all Lebanese people,” was essential to ensuring the durability of any agreement ending the conflict.

He said Tehran had made ending Israeli military operations in Lebanon, alongside ending the war against Iran, a top priority in both the April ceasefire understanding and the June 18 memorandum.

Baqaei also called on Washington to fulfill its commitments under the agreement by taking “all necessary measures” to compel Israel to halt military operations across Lebanon and establish “a swift timetable for unconditional withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories.”

Meanwhile, Iranian Parliament Speaker and chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf told Lebanese Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri in a phone call that Tehran was “seriously pursuing” an end to the war in Lebanon.

According to Iranian media, Qalibaf said one of the main issues discussed during last week’s talks with the US in Switzerland was ending the war in Lebanon and restoring the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

He said the issue formed a central element of the first clause of the Islamabad memorandum and that, following Iran’s objections to alleged violations, the parties agreed to establish a conflict-control unit involving Iran, the US and Lebanon to monitor implementation.

“Our goal is ending the war in Lebanon, returning displaced people to their homes, ending the occupation and securing the withdrawal of the Zionist regime from Lebanese territory,” Qalibaf said.

The remarks came as Iran and the United States continue efforts to implement the broader 14-point agreement reached after weeks of regional military escalation and diplomatic negotiations.

Iranian analyst claims IRGC struck eight US-linked military targets

An Iranian military analyst claimed Sunday that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) destroyed eight US-linked targets during recent missile and drone strikes on American military positions in Bahrain and Kuwait.

Speaking to Iran’s Fars News Agency, security and military affairs analyst Morteza Simiyari said the operation targeted eight sites, including hardened shelters, radar installations, communications systems and watchtowers at Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait.

He also claimed the strikes hit maritime control and naval data-processing facilities associated with the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain.

According to Simiyari, the targeted facilities had recently resumed operations after sustaining damage during earlier confrontations but were “completely destroyed” in the latest strikes.

He said the operation demonstrated Iran’s adoption of “a new posture in asymmetric warfare” and marked an escalation in what he described as the “rules of managed war.”

Simiyari further claimed US forces had failed to locate Iran’s missile storage sites and maritime command systems despite what he described as “blind strikes” on previously targeted positions.

His remarks followed the IRGC’s announcement that it had targeted US positions in the region in response to American strikes on Iranian facilities.

Bahrain, however, said it had “successfully” intercepted and destroyed “a number of” Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting its territory.

Israeli army says it killed two people in southern Syria

The Israeli army said Sunday that its forces had killed two people in southern Syria, in the latest reported violation of the country’s sovereignty.

Israel’s public broadcaster KAN reported that troops spotted the two individuals on Saturday evening, claiming they had moved “unusually” within the so-called “security zone” established by Israel inside Syrian territory following the fall of Bashar al-Assad’s government.

There was no immediate comment from Syrian authorities.

Separately, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that Israeli forces raided the village of Ain al-Eid in the southwestern Quneitra countryside on Saturday, setting up a military checkpoint, searching passersby and raiding a resident’s home.

SANA also said another Israeli force, consisting of four military vehicles, entered the village of Ain al-Ziwan on Friday, raided a house, arrested one person and later withdrew.

The reported incursions are part of what Syrian authorities describe as ongoing Israeli violations of the country’s sovereignty, including ground incursions, house raids, checkpoints and the detention of civilians, among them children and shepherds.

Following the fall of the Assad government on Dec. 8, 2024, Israel declared the 1974 Disengagement Agreement defunct and occupied the buffer zone on the Syrian side of the border.

Since then, Israel has continued carrying out airstrikes and ground incursions inside Syria, resulting in civilian casualties and the destruction of military facilities, vehicles and ammunition stockpiles.
