Comfort is ease and plenty,
Accounts and fridges never empty,
Indecision over brands and specs
Followed by touch of button payment and delivery
Comfort is indulgence and security
When billions struggle to survive war, hunger,
Scarcity
And so,
It may be worth considering,
Is our drive and desire for comfort also
Obsessional,
Distracting,
Systemic,
Violating both the earth and humanity’s access
To a sustainable life and future???
