What an amazing event! Everything was timely and very slick. I was thoroughly impressed by the wonderful winners and the short-listed for all the categories. It was a pleasure to meet both old friends and colleagues and make some new ones. It was such a well-balanced interfaith event. There is nothing quite like it. I enjoyed the entertainment as well as listening to the guest speakers. There was a good variety of people. Last, of all, I love the fact that there is no fundraising, and it was great to see so many charities sponsoring the awards. Thank you and congratulations on yet another highly successful and inspiring event last night. As usual, a diverse Muslim gathering celebrated our wonderful success stories and how grateful we are to you for providing the opportunity. The element of inclusivity was abundantly clear, and thanks for your sensitivity and commitment. We noticed several wheelchair users. I felt so proud and humbled to share a table with two very inspiring young Muslim ladies: both barristers. The visually impaired lawyer, Miss Haleemah Sadia Farooq, from Slough, has a successful career in the courts, and Miss (Manizja) Manisha Latifi, an Afghan refugee who came with her family and worked hard for her achievements. Although we heard about formal nominations and scores of winners and runner-ups, there were many success stories among the guests in the hall, like these two young ladies, among hundreds of unsung heroes. I must congratulate you on the quality of speakers and indeed excellent timekeeping and refreshment, as well as the quality and punctuality of service, in terms of time and waiter service.

The format worked well this year, the prize-giving was efficient, the speeches were short, the sponsors’ videos were well-timed, and the awards finished at a good time and allowed plenty of networking.
