Ayelet Shaked, a Knesset member of the Jewish Home Party advocated genocide against the Palestinian civilians
Ayelet Shaked, a Knesset member of the Jewish Home Party, Habeyit Hayehudi, which forms part of the coalition ruling Israel, declared genocide against the Palestinian civilians.
She posted these views on Facebook on July 1, a day before the brutal murder of 17-year old Palestinian Mohammed Abu Khudair. The post received one thousand shares and over five thousand likes.
A part of the post quoted an article by the former bureau chief of Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, Uri Elitzur, and Shaked claims that the article was written 12 years ago but still remains “as relevant today as it was at the time”.
In the article Palestinians are referred to as “little snakes” and it stated that this is not a war against the Palestinian authority, “this is a war between two people. Who is the enemy? The Palestinian people. Why? Ask them, they started.”
She then went on to quote the entire article, which stated that none of the Palestinian civilians are innocent, including the “elderly and its women”, and that “its cities, property and infrastructure” should be destroyed.
She justified her claim for war against the civilians by saying that “Behind every terrorist stand dozens of men and women, without whom he could not engage in terrorism. Actors in the war are those who incite in mosques, who write the murderous curricula for schools, who give shelter, who provide vehicles, and all those who honour and give them their moral support.”
She compared the political climate of Israel with the World War II-era Europe.
She concluded that Palestinians “are all enemy combatants, and their blood shall be on all their heads. Now this also includes the mothers of the martyrs, who send them to hell with flowers and kisses. They should follow their sons, nothing would be more just. They should go, as should the physical homes in which they raised the snakes. Otherwise, more little snakes will be raised there.”
