Sir, Whether it’s a letter to the editor, an article or even a book, we, Muslims always seems to be whinging or crying out loud for justice. I think it’s about time the Muslims realised that “might is right”. It has always been true, still is and always will be. When we are not complaining, we tend to blame others.
But why! Why are we in such commotion? The answer is in both Hadith and Qur’an. The Prophet PBUH always encouraged education while the Qur’an goes even further in saying that the difference between an illiterate and educated one is the difference between with or without eyes.
I’m not so sure what’s it like in other Muslim countries but in Pakistan, education is not easily afforded to everybody in equal measures. This is a shame really especially in the light of Pakistan, when created in 1947, was supposed to be the flagship of the Muslim world.
Yours,
Saleem Sulehria
