Justice for victims of Birmingham riots

27th Feb 2015

Sir, Why wasn’t manslaughter and reckless driving charges laid? (The Muslim News, January 30). The driver should at the least be had up before the court on that sort of charge.
Mr Jahan should bring out a private prosecution. This may then result in other movement. No doubt in 20 years time, this will be reopened when these men are drawing their pensions and the police men responsible have retired on fat pensions – as with Hillsborough, there will be apologies then. Justice cannot wait for such things again.
Yours,
Swan Conscious
