BANGKOK, (Xinhua): Twenty people have been injured in a bomb explosion in Bangkok on Friday, said the Erawan Emergency Center of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
Eight anti-government protesters were earlier reported to have been hurt by the explosion.
The injured are now being treated, according to the Erawan Emergency Center.
An unknown assailant threw a bomb from a three-story building at a procession of protesters, security guards of the anti- government People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) were quoted by the Nation newspaper as saying.
It was reported that the bomb exploded near the area where PDRC secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban was rallying.
