Pakistan: Three killed in fresh Karachi violence

KARACHI, (The News): Three persons lost their lives in the fresh violent incidents across the metropolis, Geo News reported Monday.

According to police sources, body of a man was found from Kharadar area who was killed by shooting in the head as informed by the hospital sources.

Another man was gunned down in Mosa Lane area of Lyari. Both the bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Earlier, a slit-throat body was also found from Ittehad Town area of Baldia Town.

It may be mentioned that Sindh police and rangers carried out raids in various areas of Karachi, detaining more than 30 suspects and recovering weapons from their possession in the wee hours of Monday.

According to the details, a heavy contingent of police personnel launched raid in Ittehad Town area of Baldia Town and held 14 suspects. Eight TT pistols, 2 kalashnikovs and three motorcycles were also seized during the raid.

Police official said the suspects are being interrogated.

The police and rangers also carried out targeted operation in Lyari area and apprehended over a dozen suspects.

Meanwhile, the rangers personnel also conducted door to door search in Drig Road colony and detained several people.

In Nazimabad, rangers rounded up four suspects during the targeted operation. It also raided in P I B Colony but not arrests were made.
