KASHMORE, (The News & Dawn): At least five people including four children were killed and 25 others sustained injuries when three bogies of Khushal Khan Kkattak Express derailed after blast on the railway track near Kashmore on Sunday.

The Khushhal Khan Khattak express was travelling from Karachi to Peshawar when it was struck by the blast near Unnar Wah village in Kandhkot-Kashmore district.

Local villagers helped the administration and rescue personnel in shifting the injured to hospital.

Federal Railway Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique took notice of the incident and ordered a probe.

He also issued instructions for an alternate train to be arranged in order to facilitate the stranded passengers.

Earlier this month , seven coaches of the Lahore-bound Shalimar Express had overturned and derailed  when a bomb planted along railway tracks about 20km east of Karachi went off.
