IMEMC & Agencies: Friday evening, Palestinian medical sources said that two Palestinians were shot and wounded by Israeli military fire east of the Jabalia town, in the northern part of the Gaza Strip.
The sources said that a young man, 21 years of age, was shot by a live round in his leg as he was walking near the Eastern Graveyard, east of Jabalia.
The young man, from the Ash-Shaty’ refugee camp, suffered a moderate injury and was moved to the Kamal Adwan Hospital, for treatment.
Furthermore, Dr. Ashraf Al-Qodra, spokesperson of the Ministry Of Health in Gaza, said that another young man, 26 years of age, was shot by a live round, in the back.
Al-Qodra added that soldiers, operating several military towers across the border, fired rounds of live ammunition into the area, and that one of those rounds struck the resident in the back.
The attack took place after hundreds of Palestinians protested in the area, following the funeral ceremony of Adnan Abu Khater, 18, who was shot and killed by Israeli army fire, on Thursday, near the Shuhada graveyard, east of Jabalia.
