Palestine: Israeli settlers burn farm south of Nablus

By Chris Carlson
International Middle East Media Center: Israeli settlers set fire, Wednesday, to an agricultural barrack on a sheep farm located in the provincial village of Aqraba, south of Nablus.

Ghassan Daghlas, the Palestinian Authority officer in charge of monitoring settlement activities in the northern West Bank, told the Palestinian News Network that a group of Israeli settlers set fire to a barrack containing food for goats and agricultural tools belonging to one Fadi Bani Jaber.

He added that the settlers wrote racist graffiti on the walls of the farm, calling for the death of Palestinians, including “blood vengeance” and “price tag”.

People on site were able to round up the sheep, but the steel structure surrounding the farm was destroyed by the fire, according to Ma’an’s report.

Daghlas told Ma’an that the settlers came from the illegal settlement of Itamar, nearby.

Such acts against Palestinians and their property are rarely prosecuted. Hundreds of racist attacks against Palestinians in Israel and the occupied West Bank occur every year, often targeting both Muslim and Christian holy sites.
