4th Jun 2013

By IMEMC & Agencies: The Israeli government announced Monday its decision to illegally confiscate 370 Dunams (91.42 Acres) of Palestinian lands, east of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Ghassan Doughlas, in charge of Israeli Settlements file at the Palestinian Authority in the northern part of the occupied West Bank, has reported that Israeli soldiers handed an official order to the Awarta village council.
Palestinian villagers of Awarta and Rojeeb village, east of Nablus, own the lands that are located close to the Itamar illegal settlement.

He added that Israel has been rapidly escalating expansion activities of the settlement on the expense of Palestinian lands and orchards.

The official further stated that the newly issued military orders also indicates that the decision was made for “military considerations”.
